Author's POV
The sky was turning dim with the splashed hues of purple and indigo as the glowing molten bowl of fire bided its good byes to the earth as it descended down to the distant line of the horizon. Birds chirping and flying back to their nest. The sweet chilling late evening breeze taking its turn on the stage while the street lights slowly turned on, lighting up the darkening path ways.
The sunset was beautiful, as always. But it's sad that how only a few had the time to took notice such enchanting beauty.
A few like Jia and Jungkook, as they sat on the concrete steps built next to the outdoor basket ball-court illuminated by the LED lightings.
The campus was still occupied with a very few students. Basically the ones with special classes, the ones with detentions, and the ones who played and hanged around for no reason before the curfew time finishes.
Hoseok and Jimin fell on the last category of students as they played basket ball, training themselves while they had tons of meaningless fun. The younger yelling at the elder for taking the advantage of his short hight, while the elder shouting at the younger for using his b-boying dancing skills in the game.
As the had their little bickery fun with a plenty of cheating, Jia and Jungkook were forced to wait for them.
Jia-who was waiting for her friend Lisa who was openly drooling at Hoseok as she watched him flex his muscles and soak his sleeveless tank- top and drench his bangs with his dripping sweat beads.
On the other hand, Jungkook-who was waiting for Jimin. At least that's the excuse he could only come with when in fact he was only trying to spend more time around Jia. To be honest, he could could have left back to his place long before. But he chose not to.
That was the same at the library too. Of course he went along with her today afternoon to the room of books, but that was it. Jungkook didn't utter a word to her, feeling all bubbly in his stomach, for he was literally having a tough time fighting the butterflies. All he could do was peek her through the shelves of the dusty books, through the mask of the any random pages of a book which he was probably reading upside down. He couldn't help but sneak at her, smiling to himself behind the shield of the book like a teenager before switching back to his robotic expression.
The boy was a total mess.
But it felt beautiful, to him.
As the duo sat there, a sudden strong but gentle rush of wind blew towards their way, gently sliding Jia's hoodie down her head, exposing her hair and neck.
Jungkook noticed this crystal clearly. Okay, may be he was not enjoying the sunset after all. May be his focus was less on the sky and more on some where else. To be precise, on some one else.
As he sneak-peeked through the corners of his doe eyes, his gaze seems to halt at a specific spot on her neck.
The sneak-peek transforming into an open stare as he bit his lips that was slowly curving up into a faint smile.
Smiling, because of the small purple hue mark that was still linkering to the crook of her neck, half faded.
Smiling, because Jungkook clearly remembers who gave it to her.
Smiling, because he remembers how her tender skin tasted to his lips.
