Charlottes pov
So it's the day of the party ( my family's party to invite all our new neighbours round to get to know them ) so my new friend Amy came round to help me find something to wear . " sweet house , has your mom Married a billionaire or something " "not quite " I replied . She had actually fallen madly in love with a doctor thats the whole reason (and my brothers football promotion) we had moved , new start and all . My mom met him while she worked as a midwife in our old town in Birmingham's hospital , while he was one of the top doctors . She used my brothers promotion as the excuse but, I know really that it was to please him . That's all she ever does know . She's been with him for a year and don't get me wrong he's lovely he treats us like he's own (he has no kids ) but my mom has changed , she's happier which is great of course but she cares more about what people thinks of her . That's the whole reason we are having the party so she can make a good impression of our neighbours . However john (my step dad) on the other hand is hosting it to show off that he can have a big house ( he's that type of person) .
"Can you help me pick an outfit please " I asked Amy when she giggled and we made our way to my room . We searched endlessly through my clothes when we found this blacked and white dress . After a while of staring at the dress figuring out if I liked it I got a text from a number I didn't recognise saying :
is it ok if we bring Harvey along to the party :) oh and it's Charlie btw x
I immediately turned to Amy and shouted " WHY THE F*CK DID YOU GIVE HIM MY NUMBER " she laughed and said " oh please don't act like you didn't want him to text you "
Of course she was right but I didn't want to admit it so I just cut my eyes and saved his number to my phone and replied

Course why not . It starts at 7pm if you didn't know

No I didn't know that but I'm going to get there at 7.01 because I'm a rebel ;)
I smiled and turned to Amy " come on we are going shopping I need a new dress " I mean come on I couldn't see Charlie wearing a horrible black and white dress that I had worn before ( it never normally bothers me don't worry I'm not a diva ) but 1. I was meeting another member of the alpha dog 2. My stepdad had brought a nice new house so he's need to buy me a nice nice new dress to go with it 3. It's he's fault I need a dress anyway .
2hours later
I had got my knew dress and me and Amy were on our way back from town on the bus .. I was getting really angry because it was 5 o'clock and the bus driver had decided to stop bus and have a break. I still had to ;get home , have a shower get dressed ,curl my hair as well as Amy doing the same . I mean I couldn't be later for my own party!
