Chapter One

I felt the warm breeze blow my long hair off my face. I reached my hand and freed my hair from the rubber band which was holding it together, preventing it from being all over the place-which was what happening right then by the way-I looked up  at the tall buildings surrounding me and marveled at-

"Can you slow down for a second?! Not all of us are head of the cycling team you know!!" said an annoyed Chels.

And there goes my meditating moment.

I looked back at her struggling with her bike, almost running over a little kid.

I stifled a laugh." Just paddle faster. We're almost there"

I heard a trace of curse words followed by a muffled fine.

I parked my bike and got off easily.

Couldn't say the same for Chels though.

She stopped paddling but didn't put her feet on the ground.

Wrong move.

Three.

Two.

One.

 BRAM.

Yup, she fell with the bike on top of her.

"OWW!!"

"Bloody hell. That fucking-"

I helped her up from under the bike then took the latter and parked it. I turned around to a very angry looking Chels.

"That's the last time we're ever doing that" she said pointing her fingers at the bikes.

"yeah, whatever" I chuckled." Let's go"

I grabbed her arms and we walked side by side at the freshly cut lawn leading to the humanities building in MCjewls University.

"I need coffee. Want some?" I asked her.

"Naah. Am going to class" she said and turned around to leave but I caught her just in time.

"Where are you going?!" I asked.

"Um...class?!" she asked.

"Hello? Zero sense of direction here!!" I pointed a finger at myself.

"Don't worry. You got your schedule right?" she asked." You'll find a detailed map at the back of it. It's quite simple."

I nodded hesitantly.

"You do know where the café is right?" she asked.

"Yeah" I nodded.

Thanks to orientation week.

"Good. See ya in a few" she turned around and was lost in the sea of people around.

I tried making my way through the impossibly crowded hallways with the least amount of injuries possible.

A few minutes later I was sipping on the heavenly made cup while walking lazily out of the cafeteria.

Luckily the hallways weren't as crowded as earlier.

Now where's that schedule. I held the cup with one hand and dived into my hand bag with the other looking for the folded paper.

First day.

Freshman.

Lost schedule.

Not a good combination.
