On her birth certificate it read Jasmine Elina Macklin, not an uncommon name for where she lived. When she was born her father wasn't there nor did he want to be, for he didn't believe Jasmine was his. Although once she was born it was quite clear it was his daughter. Jasmine's parents fought but her mother Jann refused for her daughter to grow up with divorced parents. When Jasmine was a baby she saw the fights and developed the sense that it was okay for people to hit each this resulted in far worst things than ever imagined. One day Jasmine's mother had had enough and she couldn't stand getting beat any longer. About the time when Jasmine was two her parents separated only talking when exchanging when and where they'd met to exchange there daughter back and forth. At first Jann got Jasmine all week and her father, Chrid, only got her on the weekends. Jann had gotten a new boyfriend, Jasmine was of course expected to treat him respect even when he was choking her mom or else she would be beaten too. Jasmine told her father about her mothers boyfriend. Chris went to court with in the next week to gain custody because although he hit Jann not once did he ever lay a hand on his baby girl Jasmine. No matter how drunk he got she was one of the only things he wouldn't hit. Jasmine's dad had a new girlfriend as soon as her mom left. Chris's girlfriend was named Carol. She had medium length blonde hair with brown streaks that matched her skin color that always smelled of baby lotion. She was a good step mom or whatever she would be considered as. Jasmine never saw her father hit Carol. Carol also had kids to actually a boy and a girl both older than Jasmine. The boys name was Josh and the girls name was Loretta. They were both so nice and sweet to Jasmine. One night Jasmine was in bed and Carol was working night shift at the Wing Shack. Jasmine heard yelling and walked out to the living room her dad was fighting with two men. The cops were called and Jasmine was taken to her mothers and Chris was taken to jail.
