Jasmine went back to her mother. Her mom was with a man named Wilby. He was a complete and total ass to put it nicely. He was worst than her moms first boyfriend.

The thing about Susan was that everything always came before her daughter. Whether it was if Jasmine needed new school clothes, or her mom needed another hit of heroine. Susan was selfish. Jasmine didn't understand that. She thought her mother didn't want her.

One day, the eve of Jasmines birthday a white van showed up to where her mother was partying and where Jasmine was climbing a tree. They showed Susan the documents needed to take away a child as they put Jasmine in the van. Tears were rolling down Jasmine's face, they were lit by the blue and red flashing lights. Both James and Susan were now in jail, which left Jasmine parentless.

Jasmine wine up in a strange place the next morning. Not aware of where she was she tried to find her way downstairs to where she heard shuffling of feet and low whispers. Jasmine finally found her way downstairs and all of a sudden she remembered it was her birthday. She saw a purple punch buggie made for Barbie's and a long box wrapped in birthday wrapping paper. In the box was a barbie from Dollar Tree. The best her foster family could pull together at the last minute. Jasmine looked around knowing what was going on. She wasn't dumb for a six year old rather smart. She knew this was the end, the end of ever having a normal childhood.
