Five days later, Tyler had recovered enough to travel thanks to Seth's continued efforts and everything had been successfully packed up with no major accidents happening.

We where packing up our personal effects and taking down the tents when the sound of a helicopter started up in the distance. I exited my tent and looked around in the sky but it was still far enough to not be visible with the naked eye. I found Charles on his way out of his own tent.

"Are we expecting a visit?" I asked.

"Um, not that I know of... maybe it going somewhere else?..." He hesitated.

"Where else could they go Charles? We are in the middle of the dessert. There is nothing else for miles around." I said.

Rachel jogged up to us, just as a small dot appeared on the horizon.

"Why is there a helicopter coming towards us? Was our sponsors supposed to visit the site?" She questioned.

"We don't know either. Maybe he decided to do a surprise visit to see what we are doing since we extended our stay." I ventured.

"He has never done that before. Plus it's not the first time we over stay our departure date, he knows that unexpected things can happen." She answered.

"I know Rachel, I just don't know who else it could be or why they would be here." I said.

After a few seconds of silence, I asked Charles to go get his binoculars so that I can try an see who it was. He quickly retrieved them and handed them over. I looked in them and adjusted them, I focused on the approaching helicopter and found that it was a military style helicopter with machine guns mounted on either sides. I could feel the blood draining from my face and the binoculars slipped out of my hands.

"What?! What is it?! What's going on Blake?!" Rachel shouted, coming to stand in front of my and grabbing my hands in hers.

"It's... it's the military... there's guns and everything..." I whispered.

"Wait... what?!" She screamed, picking up the binoculars and looking for herself.

Her mouth dropped open and Charles grabbed the binoculars and also checking.

"What the hell is the military coming here for?!" Rachel exclaimed.

"I don't know. I haven't even told anyone what we have found yet." I said.

Charles suddenly started fidgeting and bitting his lip. I stared at him for a while and he avoided my gaze and shifted from foot to foot.

"Charles... is there something you wish to say?" I asked.

"I um... May or may not have told Philip Moore what we found with the satphone..." He explained.

"I... I thought he deserved to know! He's the one who gave us the tip... I didn't think he would tell the military..." He added.

"Well what the fuck did you think he would do Charles?! We found two living breathing people that have been alive for thousands of years! Of course they would send the military to get them!" I yelled at him.

"... sorry boss..." He said.

Then, I noticed that the sound of cars had mixed in to the helicopter ones. I looked around again and clouds of dust where aproching fast from all directions. I hadn't noticed them fast enough and within seconds, the campsite was surrounded by military armored trucks and dozens of soldiers jumped out of them, guns pointed at everyone.

"Freeze! Put your hands up and get on the ground!" One soldier shouted.

We all obeyed, Charles dropping the binoculars yet again before laying on the ground. Surprisingly enough, they had brought enough soldiers to cover every single one of us. I turned my head in the direction of my tent and noticed that the flaps where still closed and Seth and Tyler where nowhere in sight.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Shut up!" The soldier who had his gun pointed at me, shouted.

We waited a few more minutes in silence, no one moving a muscle as though time itself had stopped, until the helicopter arrived and landed, kicking up sand and forcing me to close my eyes in order to keep it out of them.

I opened my eyes again once the wind had died down and a man in a black suit flanked by two more soldiers stood in place of the helicopter. He started walking forward and the soldiers moved out of the way to let him through.

"Who is the head archaeologist on this site?" He asked.

I hesitantly raised my hand and the soldier standing behind me pulled me up to my knees before resuming his position with his gun pointed at my head.

"Hands on your head." He said.

I complied and the man in a suit finally reached us and stood in front of me.

"Where are they?" He asked.

"Who?" I questioned back.

"The things you found." He answered.

"Oh, there in the trailer over there. We just finished preparing them for transport."

He nodded to one of the soldiers standing next to him and he imedeatly ran off to check. We waited in silence until the sound of things being moved aside and opened could be heard from inside the trailer. A few minutes later, the soldier came jogging back.

"Negative sir." He said.

The man in the suit turned back to me and suddenly grabbed my jaw, forcing my head up slightly and digging his nails into my skin.

"Listen here son, your going to tell me where those two... individuals you found buried here are or you will regret  it." He seathed through gritted teeth.

I just stared at him, refusing to talk even though I knew it was just a matter of time before they found Seth and Tyler. I was hopping that they would somehow find a way to escape with the powers they had.

"Hands up!" A soldier suddenly shouted form the direction of my tent.

I turned my head as much as I could with the man still holding my jaw and as I feared, Seth and Tyler where making their way out.
