Chapter 3 Three Months Later

Chavez's POV: Jackie and I have been married for 3 months now and everything was going great I was able to find work that I enjoyed doing to support us we live in a nice house it had five bedrooms it wasn't very big but it was home I had stopped at home for lunch when I walked in I saw Jackie singing and dancing around in the kitchen I knew that she loved to sing and dance I stood there watching her doing her thing until she noticed me staring then she stopped

How long have you been standing there? She asked

Just long enough to admire you I answered walking towards her and placing a kiss on her lips she chuckled softly and I smiled

What are you doing home? She asked knowing that I was home earlier than usual

Oh I just thought I come home and check on you besides it's lunch time and what better way for me to have lunch is to spend it with my lovely wife I replied smiling at her while I sat down

Alright lunch is almost ready she said

Everything been going okay? I asked

No not really I've just been feeling so bored around here She said grabbing our lunch and setting it down on the table

soon we started eating our lunch and talked afterwards it was time for me to head back to work while I was at work I thought about what Jackie had said I knew that she was board considering the fact that I wasn't there with her all day I felt bad for her then I had an idea but I wasn't sure if it was a good idea considering that she might not be able to handle it but I know there was only way to find out but the other problem I had was I didn't know where to get one but then my luck changed when I was riding home I stopped my horse when I saw it it was small so I knew it wasn't full grown yet it must've been a few weeks old I kneeled down to it lucky it wasn't injured or anything so I figured that it must've just been abandoned maybe it's owner couldn't afford to take care of it it came right up to me happily I picked it up and brought it home when I got home Jackie was in the kitchen making dinner so I figured it was the perfect time to tell her what I got her

Jackie could I talk to you for a minute I gotta surprise for you I said

Jackie looked at me kinda surprised already she walked over towards me worriedly I had the little thing inside my coat once she got closer to me I reviled what I had and the look on her face she was speechless she took it from me and held it I smiled softly as she did that

Where on earth did you find this little one? Jackie asked holding it

I found it when I was on my way home I thought about what you said earlier about how you were board with being here all day alone plus I figured that you might want protection because of what you went through when we first met and everything else in between I said

Oh Chavez love "is it a male or female? She asked

Uh I believe it's a female I said

I know the perfect name for her then "Ivey" Jackie said

That's a good name for her I said

Jackie smiled joyfully and gleefully I smiled softly we were happy so you're probably wondering what I brought home for Jackie it was a dog a pup to be exact the puppy was a black and brown German Shepherd I figured that we should start off with a dog before we ever decide to have children and boy was it a good idea alright every time I come home Ivey would greet me she would bark,whine,jump up, and wag her tail every time I walked into the house and I really enjoyed that even when she was a full grown dog she would do it the only thing she stopped doing was when she was little she used to jump up onto mine or Jackie's lap but as she got older she stopped she would just lay her head down on our laps when she wanted our attention one thing that I always found funny was ever night when we went to bed Ivey would sleep between us mostly towards me Jackie and I always found it really super cute I always found it funny as well after dinner we would head straight to bed I was usually the first one to go to bed Ivey would follow me then Jackie would follow along soon after and that's what's been going on in the first three months of our marriage then one day I came home from work Jackie was sitting on the couch I was confused about what was going on

Jackie is everything alright? I asked worriedly as I walked over towards her I sat down beside her

Chavez I have something to tell you Jackie said

Well what is it nothing bad is it is that Caleb guy back did he hurt you? I asked

No no no it's nothing bad it's.... oh god how I'm  trying to say this she replied

Well just take it easy slow down "what's wrong? I told her

Promise you won't be mad at me when I tell you? Jackie asked

I promise you can tell me it's okay whatever it is I'm sure we'll figure it all out together okay I said

Okay here it goes Chavez I'm pregnant Jackie said

My eyes lit up with shock I couldn't believe what I just heard "was she? "Is it possible? Is "she really pregnant? I had a lot of questions running through my head but nevertheless I was excited I was finally going to be a father

"Are you sure?  "you're absolutely sure that you're pregnant? I asked

Yes I'm absolutely sure that I'am pregnant with our first child she said

I smiled joyfully as so did Jackie we hugged  cheered and kissed each other we couldn't wait to tell everyone that we were expecting our first child together we told Doc his wife Yen Billy and his girlfriend Jessica Manuela and the Maxwells they were all excited and congratulated us Jackie,Manuela,Jessica,Yen,and Linda Pete Maxwell's wife helped Jackie with the arrival of our baby Jackie and I decorated a nursery we weren't sure if the baby was going to be a girl or a boy but we regardless we picked out two names I was in charge of naming our sons and she was in charge of naming our daughters I chose Christopher and I was going to use my first name as his middle name Jackie picked Chloe Jean but little did we all know that that child was not going to be born and I was worried about that
