None of these characters belong to me and all credits go to the movie "Stand By Me" directed by Rob Reiner, which is based on the novel "The Body" by Stephen King, once again NONE of these character are mine.

Gordie's POV:

It was cloudy like every other day at Castle Rock, I mean the weather surely matched my feelings right now, down and gloomy.

My life at home hasn't been so good ever since my brother Dennis passed away in a Jeep accident last summer, he was the star of our family, a football player and he had all the ladies swarming him, now he was just.. gone. Like that just gone, and that's all my parents can think about, sure I was sad, he was my big older brother, he was one of my best friends. Now it's just like I died with him, sometimes my parents forget I'm even here, it's like it would have been easier for them if I had died with him, I mean all I can do is write stories, and my parents don't even like that. Denny used to read my stories I would write, his favorite was the one where I had us on and adventure to find the Lost Colony, gosh he loved that one.

Now without Denny to survive the days with, I either go and get lost in my writing or sometimes I hang out with some friends I picked up throughout this year. One of them is Chris Chambers, otherwise known as "the kid brother to Eyeball Chambers", Eyeball was his older brother, but they were all the low life's according to almost everyone else in this town, so why would they call him by his own name.

When I hung out with Christopher, we would usually go out into town or adventuring, his Pa isn't to kind to him round his place so we try to avoid there so he doesn't get another hiding. Oh gosh, I can still recall all the times Chris has had to come over once his Pa is done beating on him. If any of the Chambers were lowlifes it was his Pa, I mean beating on innocent children that's low, rock bottom low. All that old man is, is a drunken oldie.

Chris didn't deserve a Pa like his, Christopher is the kindest, most gentle person I've ever meet, and to know all the stuff he goes through the minute he steps into his own house, that just makes me sick. He's always there for me when my parents never are and that means the world to me, like he means the world to me.

Here's my first chapter, I hope you enjoyed! Feel free to leave me comments on what you like and think and what I should fix. I'll hopefully be updating soon :)
