Annabeth

[A/N: there will be different pov's!]

I make my way up to Thalia's tree, Golden Fleece in hand. Hopefully, it will help make the people feel better, as well as the landscape.

I realize then that I can't reach the top of the tree. Well, darn, I think to myself. My supposed "wiseness" is failing me; I have been so distracted lately. Luckily, Jason was talking to Nico just down the hill.

"Hey, Jason!" I yell. "Can you give me a hand?"

He sees me, standing with the net in hand, nods and makes his way up here. His usual upbeat stance is gone from his shoulders as he climbs the hill. Leo, I think wistfully.

"Whatcha need?" Jason asks me.

"Um, would you mind helping me put this up on the tree? You know, with your flying abilities?" I nod at the branches that surround us.

"Yeah, give me a sec," he tells me. His hair reflects the gold from the fleece, making me aware of Jason's features. For the record, I am not attracted to Jason, I just noticed the way his bright eyes were dull, and his mouth wasn't smiling or laughing.

"Alright, come here," he says. He wraps his arms around me, with the net in a tangle in my arms. I swear this was not romantic whatsoever, I mean seriously, he had to fly me up somehow.

The wind whipped my hair around in my ponytail, whacking Jason in the face. I laugh quietly as he shakes his head to free my curls from his eyes. We reach the top quickly, and I set it on top, immediately feeling better.

Jason felt it too; I could feel him smile from behind me. On the ground, I thank him and make my way to the Poseidon cabin.

Not even thinking about it, I walk in without hesitation. And I see a sight I haven't seen in a while.

Percy was crying on his bed.

Not bawling, but there were tears, sniffles and definite sadness. I stand there, my heart breaking. But he didn't seem to hear the shattering of it. He didn't hear me come in apparently, either.

I walk up to him, tears glistening in my eyes, as I sit next to him.

He falters, sees me, and continues. He seems to know that I know what's upsetting him. "Shh, it's alright,"

I rub his back soothingly hoping to calm him. "It's been month Annabeth! A whole month, with not even the slightest contact. Well except Nico saying he's dead!"

" I know," I tell him. "But hey, this is Leo were talking about. Oh, and don't forget Festus. They wouldn't leave us!"

He sniffles. "I know, okay? I'm just upset. Sorry you had to see-" he gestures to himself, "-this."

"I wouldn't mind only seeing you for the rest of my life," I admit, blushing a bit.

He smiles, and leans in for a kiss. His eyes are blotchy and red. I notice his hair is messy, as always.

I lean in too, slowly, trying to remember the last time he's been so upset. But that doesn't matter.

What matters right this second is the way his mouth slowly pushes against mine, making me shiver. I give him a peck and stand up. He scowls playfully and stands up next to me. Were walking towards the door, hand in hand, when he tenses up.

"What's wrong?" I look around the cabin, looking for danger.

"I really need to wash my face," he tells me.

I laugh as he runs to the restroom. As I wait, I here the faucet running. He finally emerges from the other end of the cabin and runs toward me.

I'm surprised at his outburst of speed, but he simply wraps his arms around me and says, " Love you, Wise Girl."

" I love you too, Seaweed Brain."

With percy in a good mood, I was suddenly in a good mood. Especially when he asked me on a date.

"In the forest?" I ask.

He nods. "We can have a picnic and have a little fun..."

I give him a I-don't-think-so look. but then I smile. "That would be amazing. Dinner is soon, isn't it?"

"Yep," he replies. "But we should go now."

I grin. "Okay..."

Percy walks into his cabin that we were just standing outside of and grabs a picnic basket.

"Where on earth did you get that?" I exclaim.

"Well, I planned this a couple days ago but never got to it till this morning..." He smiles at me. "Can we just go?"

To answer I started walking to the forest. I was really excited. We hadn't been in a date since..... well, I don't know.

I walk with percy, the love of my life, to the forest with the biggest smile I have ever worn.
