Their summer break is finally here. The night before Earl is about to settle things down, a girl named Elly called Earl. She said that she want to do something on her birthday and she ask for Earl's recommendation. Earl said about his plan to visit Mariabella. She seemed to like his plan. Elly likes to travel during her free time, she doesn't like to reject offers, especially when offered to travel to a calming place. In fact, she likes to go to a calming place.
Elly were together with Earl during their High School days. Earl left her because Elly did something bad to Earl's friend. She asks for Earl's money, she said "Your friend asked me to borrow your money, she'll pay it back". "How much? And who is she?" said Earl. "She wants 200 bucks, and she's your friend, Sylvia". Earl reached his pocket and gave Elly 200 bucks. Months for months Earl waited for Sylvia's payment, he decided to meet Sylvia and ask about the 200 bucks. Sylvia admitted that she never borrowed anything from him. Pissed off, Earl decided to slap her because he thought that she was lying. With a saddened voice, Sylvia told him that Elly cheated on him. She went out with a new guy in school. Earl was left stunned by her words.
