My other... what?

It's really cool and all how her two friends were getting married, the ring being all dainty and delicate, the announcement of their wedding shocking everyone on the table including herself, the two lovebirds being all happy and clingy, and finally the beauty of the wedding dresses displayed all over the store that her friend had dragged her in.

"I told you I don't like these kind of places!" she whisper yelled at her soon to get married friend when they entered the store "they are too shiny and... romantic" she complained thinking about how great it would be to go back home and sleep for a couple more hours.

She couldn't really handle romantic stuff, simply not believing that being all hopelessly in love or doing things that lovers do with someone else would make her happy in any way.

"Oh come on, cut the crap!! Even though I told you weeks ago that we were appointed to come here today to pick my dress I had to go to your place to pick you up and find you sound asleep!!" her friend shouted at her, making her flinch. Her friend was indeed scary when she got mad.

"But why don't you bring your dear fiancé to pick your dress with you? I thought she was getting a dress as well?" she kept complaining as she wasn't really in the mood to compare dresses which looked exactly the same to her: fancy and white.

"You really don't know anything about weddings do you?" her friend said jokingly with a smirk on her face.

"Well, yeah, I haven't had the chance to marry the love of my life this past week" she replied to which her friend glared at her still with that playful attitude.

Her friend, Liz, together with Soojin -her fiancé- and her met during their freshman year of college, Liz and her started being friends because they were roommates (a/n: omg they were roommates) and soon got to meet Soojin in one of their shared lessons.
The three of them didn't like crowds and noisy places so they always found each other in the seats near the window, the table in the corner of the canteen, and the most dark and silent spots in those frat parties they actually didn't want to attend to. These girls spent the rest of their college years together and gradually met other people to which resulted in them expanding their group of sloths.

The numerous evenings of watching horror movies in hers and Liz's room turned into shameless flirting between these two dear friends of hers, who would often talk about how cute and beautiful they both looked because they parted their hair or because they bought new sneakers, and she herself who would often cringe and wait for them to kiss each other to sleep -not in front of her hopefully.-

Either way, the fact that they both felt attracted to each other wasn't a secret for neither both of them nor the rest of the world.

And of course she was okay with that, the only thing that bothered her was how cheesy everything the couple said sounded and how romantic they were with each other. She believed that love could ruin the logical part of your brain, as many people who fell in love around her seemed to be completely idiotic.

She eventually got used to being the third wheel of this intriguing yet endearing relationship they had, and after being told that love was beautiful but witnessing that it was in fact cruel, she just hoped for her two friends to be happy.

"....y/n...y/n!" Liz shouted annoyed, taking her distracted friend out of her trance. "Seriously, are you still asleep? I've been calling you out this whole time!" she repeated herself clearly concerned.

"I'm fine, just... I'm just sleepy, that's all" she said with a stern face, remembering to fake a smile afterwards.
She was indeed, sleepy, work had been hectic and the only chance she had to sleep had been taken away by her over enthusiastic friend who was now asking which color suited her best, white number one or white number two. Then she realized these next hours were going to take all the little energy she had left.

"Well, that was fun!" Liz said with a huge grin showing up on her face after they exited the store. y/n couldn't understand how a dress was able to make her friend so happy, but since Liz was all giggly and stuff she decided not to ruin the moment with her remarks on how expensive the dress had turned out to be.

"How about we go treat ourselves to a coffee and some chocolate chip cookies?" Liz asked still beaming with happiness.

"I'll pass, I have work to do and this evening I'm starting out that part time job I told you about" she said, trying to sound as apologetic as possible.
She was part of a not so famous newspaper's editorial staff, but their previous boss decided to leave with the little money they had made, therefore, the whole staff was walking on a tightrope as they weren't sure of what would the right choice be: giving up or just keep on swimming.
But she wanted to have at least something to do instead of spending her evenings worried, and was offered by one of her coworkers a job as a cashier in a small and cozy coffee shop.

"That's a shame" Liz whined, her smile fading away slightly as she bid her goodbyes, "but hey, remember that this thursday we are meeting up with Soojinie to test and decide on the wedding's menu". She quickly turned her face towards her, expecting a positive reaction from her friend.

"Fine, I'll meet up with you and test the bloody wedding's menu" she mumbled all smirky as she playfully did that eye roll thing, then proceeded to wave her hand signaling Liz to turn around and keep going her way.

She eventually got to move from the spot she was left off and made her way towards her apartment, a boy catching her sight for he was wearing some sort of onesie that resembled the shape of a dinosaur -although the boy didn't look that threatening at all-.

He was politely handing out flyers to the pedestrians walking down the street with a big and kind of uncomfortable smile on his face. Then as she got closer hoping for the boy not to notice her so she wouldn't have to accept the flyer then throw it away afterwards, the said boy clumsily tripped over the onesie's dragon tail trying to hold onto anything or anyone close enough, to which ended up with him grabbing her wrist and both of them plus some other stranger who was walking by falling down to the ground.

"Hey!" she yelled while rubbing her head trying to ease the pain. Then she stared down and saw the cute boy -cute?- right on top of her right leg, facing the floor.

Everything went by so fast and many people were staring at them so she decided to do what she thought was best and that was to check that both of them were alright instead of getting mad. The other stranger seemed fine although he was confused at what had just happened, but right now what worried her the most was the onesie boy who looked like he had taken the worst part of the fall.

"Um...excuse me? Are you okay?" she asked carefully to the boy who just nodded in response, still facing the floor and still being on top of her leg. "...Are you sure? 'Cause my leg is starting to feel numb and you are still facing...the floor." She stated trying to sound as polite and kind as possible, given the circumstances.

Then is when the boy realized where he had landed on and jumped back embarrassed, mumbling quiet sorries as he stood up. The girl looked at the boy cooing at his reaction and noticing how beautiful he actually was, never had she thought she would admit the beauty of some stranger, even when the sweat run across his cheeks and forehead -probably because of standing for hours with the onesie on- he looked ethereal yet handsome. His jaw was prominent and he had plumped lips with a light pink on them, as well as a flat nose that made his small and sparkling eyes stand out more, together with his thick eyebrows.

"It's fine, don't worry." She explained after realizing she had been staring at him for a while. She decided to stand up too for she no more had any business with the floor, brushing off the dust and dirt on her pants and oversized coat that she got when it was on sale last year.

"...Would you?" the onesie boy said taking her out of her thoughts, he looked embarrassed due to the fall and the people still staring at them but for the tone of his voice it looked like he was trying to put up a cool front, making it hard for her not to laugh.

"Oh sorry, I didn't hear you, what is it?" she asked, still amused by the boy's actions.
"Um...w-would you like to meet your other half?" He said averting his gaze from hers and then mustering up the courage to look straight into her eyes, his cheeks hiding a tint of red.
"My other...what?"
