THE NEXT DAY was only filled of more convincing, but the ravenette knew he had already won this round — and buying lunch had also worked in helping as well.

jimin was chewing on the hot dog and occasionally wiping relish from the corner of his lips. "don't you at least want to take a break? it's only been a day since you got out."

"i had a six month break jimin." jungkook said. he picked at the fries and dipped a few in the ketchup before looking out the window of the small fast food place they stopped at. the younger had taken his friend out for a walk, telling him more about the plans he had.

he just huffed and finished the end of his hotdog and sucked down the rest of the drink. "it felt like longer." jimin mumbled.

the raven haired male just pushed his chair, the smallest of smiles threatened to show. jungkook left a few bills on the table as the two left, leaving the restaurant to walk along the sidewalk again.

"so, how long have you been planning this job." jimin asked. his hands were stuffed in the pockets of his hoodie, the other was walking with his in his skinny jeans. they looked leisurely, but one knew where they were going.

the sky was a light blue, but no one would know since the gloomy overcast covered it all. jungkook kicked a pebble and guided his friend around the corner. "about a year, the whole prison thing was a hiccup in the middle." he said, a sour taste filled his mouth recalling past memories before it all went down. jimin seemed to noticed, glancing over and feeling his stomach drop at the distant look on his friends face. it was odd to see someone you knew so well, to seem so different.

"what's the hit." he got straight to the point. anything that had the youngers attention was bound to happen, he wouldn't waver once his eyes were set on the prize to sit in his palms. jimin knew this, and he might as well know what they were getting into, since it was his job to keep the younger safe.

jungkooks eyes were set on the building across the street from them. they stopped walking and now stood silently, people passing oblivious to the two scheming boys standing there with dark thoughts and promises of crime.

"the usan hotel and museum?" he asked. an eyebrow was raised in question, it wasn't usual target of their games and jimin wasn't sure what they'd do at a hotel for the top 1% as guests and a bottom floor art museum. "do you suddenly want a bunch of art pieces on your walls or something."

"it's not the art jimin," jungkook said, looking down at his friend with a smile, giving his side a little nudge so they could continue walking back to the car.

it was a quick drive back to their apartment, mainly jimins at the moment that the younger was currently crashing at. a single duffel bag was on the couch, all jungkook had on him and he hasn't had time to go back to his place. maybe it was the lack of time, or maybe the lack of urge to go back.

"it's called the siwol gala." jungkook said once they were sitting in the living room. a laptop was open and a website pulled up, it was for an event at the end of the year — and he couldn't wait to attend. "the usan hotel is hosting an event to display the world jewels." he explained, "fifteen of the worlds most powerful countries will have representation there."

jimin was sitting back against the couch, occasionally reading the screen about the event to occur in eight months time. an odd feeling settled in his stomach as his friend kept talking and he just had to stop him at that. "so your plan is to piss off and rob fifteen of the worlds most powerful countries? i don't see how any of that can go wrong."

"it won't." the boy said. "and our goal, is that." jungkook said, swiping to the next picture on the tablet of a necklace that definitely looked expensive.

"the l'incomparable diamond necklace." jimin read the name and scooted closer from his spot on the couch. "it's tempting."

jungkook simply nodded and sat down as well, there was a bowl of pretzels on the table he started to pick at, just waiting for the assault of questions from the other. "im assuming you know every step to get this done." jimin said.

he nodded, it was mostly true. "alright," the shorter one said, "what do you want me to do?"

"about that." jungkook said, the little smile had poked through and the other was already concerned with what was going on in the youngers head. "i need you to make a call." he said, taking his phone out and tossing it over to jimin. it took a second for the boy to look down at the screen and see the name, his mouth falling open and shaking his head.

"no." jimin protested, "i'm not making that call, this is your plan and that," he emphasized pointing at the phone, "is on you."

"oh come on." jungkook could help but let a little chuckle escape. "you know he'll do anything you ask him to. the second he hears my voice he will hang up."

"and for good reason." the shorter mumbled. he took the phone again and poured a bit, he wanted to call, badly actually. it was just the last encounter with the man that had him hesitant in hearing his voice again.

the phone rang maybe three times, the whole time jimin held his breath and jungkook sat watching eating his pretzels with a look of amusement in his eyes. his friend of course saw this, and was quick to flip him off. a curse was maybe to follow, but someone answered on the other end and had jimin freezing slightly.

"hello?" his voice was nice to hear.

"hey," jimin started to say, "namjoon."

"jimin," the other chuckled quietly, "have you settled for stealing your friends phones? i thought you retired."

"there's been a change of plans." jimin said, he walked back and forth as he spoke, standing completely still made him feel antsy. "i need you to meet up. you know where."

"how serious?" namjoon asked. it was late by now, and he was already about to get in bed for the night. of course a call from a supposed raventte was intriguing and couldn't be ignored.

jimin glanced over at jungkook, a single nod from the younger was all that was needed. "there's water in the basement again, i think a new job needs to be done to fix it." he said.

simple phrases like that were picked up over the years, never written down and never repeated unless necessary. jungkook had a thing for rules and phrases in order to keep control, a bad habit that jimin noticed over the years. it seemed like the start to a job they would work to pull off, but no one would understand how deep in the raven haired male already was. the spiral into this started six months ago, a long trek to triumph those that seemed to enjoy playing with knifes and soft skin being their favorite target.

the call ended, a plan to meet in a few days which neither would admit they were slightly excited for. it's been a long six months, for everyone. and the next several ones would be full of more obstacles then they expected.
