Chapter 8

Dear Mum and Dad,

Maria and I love each other more than anything anyone else can ever imagine.

When I am with her, nothing else can possibly matter. Whenwe are apart, even for a day, I cease to function. All I can do is wait for her return. She is a part of me and her love is all I need.

Our love is a blossoming, brilliant and beautiful white rose. But the world is crying its murky, grey tears all over it. We do not want our love to die this way. We want to be pristine forever.

We are going to preserve it in the only possible way. We are going to jump off Midnight Peak tonight. Please do not try and stop us. You will only hurt us more.

I will love you both forever. Please remember me for who I was and who I am. Please know that I am not doing this to hurt you, and this is the only way I can be happy.
