Chapter one: The Letter

Hey there! Its me, the author. Just to clarify, this is only fanfiction! i do not own the art for this chapter, but the cover for the book is mine. (duh) Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Dick wasn't crying. He was robin, the one and only, trained by the infamous batman. He wasn't even sure his tear ducts still worked. That's how much he definitely wasn't crying.

At least, that's what he told himself. Really, Robin was quietly sobbing in the bathroom of the cave, letting his tears spill into the sink. He crumpled another piece of paper and threw it onto the floor, kicking his journal, freshly devoid of half its pages, across the room. No words Dick could write would ever be good enough, and even if they could, he would most likely never have the guts to deliver them.

After crying on and off for another 10 minutes, Dick picked up his journal and the pages and carried them to his room, conveniently near the bathroom. Once inside he scribbled them out and shredded them. He flopped onto his bed and found that his head hurt far too much for sleep. He didn't sleep until 4 am, and only from sheer exhaustion. By the time that happened, Dick's eyes were drained of tears.

What Dick could not have noticed over his heartache for Wally was that he had missed a page. On the floor of the bathroom, partially hidden under the sink, was a half scribbled out anonymous love letter for none other than Kid Flash.

Wally's POV

For Wally West, the next morning began like any other. He got up first, and immediately realized he had to use the bathroom. Normally, this would only take him about a second, on a slow day, but today it would take him 5.

As he went to wash his hands, he noticed something under the sink. He was going to just throw it away, until he saw something on the outside of the crumpled ball. Distorted by being crumpled, yet still definitely there, was a flash symbol surrounded by a heart. Being curious, and hey, a little nosy, Wally unfolded the note.

Most of it was illegible due to being repeatedly crossed out. what he could understand said this:

Dear Wally,

I know i should have told you forever ago.... I'm sorry if this changes things....... I think I love you..... I don't know what to do..... If you don't feel the same please don't tell anyone........

The rest was crossed out repeatedly, making it confusing and impossible for Wally to tell who it was. He quickly washed his hands and ran back to his room, setting the letter on his nightstand and lying in his bed. Someone on the team was in love with him. Wally didn't have much to go off of. What he did know was that they didn't want anyone to know, so he couldn't tell the team what was happening. He would just have to try and figure out who it was without them noticing.

Oh boy, this would be hard.
