The next day I decided to to bring Detective Gumshoe a nice lunch, other wise he's eating ramen again....poor guy. I opened the door and walked in to see Gumshoe talking to Aunt Evelynn at the front desk.
"Hey there Delilah" Gumshoe said turning around
"Morning Detective, I brought you some lunch.  It's sushi!"
"awe you didn't have to pal."
"You deserve it Detective."
He smiled and gave me a hug. I always did like Gumshoe,he's such a sweet guy and one of the best friends you could ever ask for. After talking to my aunt a bit I went home, sat down on the bed and started thinking of the past.

After dad killed Mr Faith (or Mr Jim as I called him back then) Gumshoe was the one to tell me, he was the one to comfort me at Mr Faiths memorial at the station.
I felt horrible at it, I mean I'm the daughter of the killer, but he reminded me that it wasn't my fault.
I miss them both...a lot.

Buddy Faith was dads longest partner, and the one who put up with him the most. He was murdered for some smuggling ring.
Speaking of the smuggling ring, it was also very difficult to hear that my dad was a part of one, but I wasn't surprised though, he wasn't bad to me or mom apparently but to everyone else..... yeah he um was an ass.  He always did like the money too.
He wasn't as bad of a dad as people thought, he always knew how to keep me happy.
God I miss those days.....
