Kasey didn’t know how long they’d been flying, only that it was long enough for Ward to get into a heated argument with Skye as they whispered back and forth to each other while Lance managed to unlock all of their handcuffs. The thing that confused her was the fact they didn’t even try to attack their enemies, sure they didn’t have weapons but if they were agents then wouldn’t they know how to fight? Then she remembered the helicopter behind them and realized that if they took this copter HYDRA wouldn’t care to blow this one out of the sky.

She turned to see Ward and Skye still fighting and Lance whispering to May before turning and climbing to look out the front window. “So where are we going?”

The HYDRA agent flinched slightly at the unexpected question and looked at her. “I’m not authorized to tell you.”

“You’re new to your organization aren’t you?”

“Why do you say that?” They growled.

“The other agents never talked… well except this guy back here called Ward.”

“Sit down or I’ll tell Agent Ward to shock you.” The rookie threatened.

“I’d love to see him try.”

They turned away and saw her hands unbound and swore under their breath. “You're going to get me killed if they find out! HYDRA is very quick to blame new agents when things go wrong.”

“And this is going wrong how? No one’s fighting.”

He glared at her. “Not yet.”

Kasey saw the pilot accidentally tip towards a flock of birds. “Uh… you know what, I’ll shut up so you can fly.”

The pilot gave her a weird look before turning around and letting out a startled scream before jerking the helicopter up. Everyone in back slid to one side and Kasey let out a nervous laugh before they leveled out again.

“What happened is everything okay?” Another HYDRA agent’s voice came over the radio.

“Yeah fine… Sun was just in my eyes and I almost hit some birds.” The pilot tried not to stutter.

“We could see that.” They replied dryly. “Just keep in mind that the boss won’t want you messing up on your first mission.”

            “Got it.”

The radio went silent and Ward got them all back into their seats before kicking a set of cuffs across the ground. He looked down from the cuffs to their wrists before taking out his gun.

            “Nobody move.” Ward warned.

“Oh please if we didn’t attack you yet why would we now? We aren’t stupid.” Lance spoke up. “If we attack you then that means you can tell your little friends flying behind us to blow this copter up.”

Ward narrowed his eyes at him before picking up the nearest handcuffs and putting them around May’s wrists. He picked up the others that had scattered across the floor and put them each back on before taking a seat again.

“I’m watching you Agent Hunter.” Ward glared daggers at Lance. “If you try anything like that again I won’t hesitate to shoot you.”

            “Harsh.” Lance replied un-phased.

“We’re almost to base Agent Ward.” The pilot informed before starting to land.

“You got lucky… once inside well not so much.” Ward smirked a bit. “Boss is going to interrogate you for any information we don’t have yet, then if you don’t comply he will ether make you if he thinks you’re worth the time… or just kill you.”

Kasey backed closer to the wall. “I don’t know anything though.”

            “We’ll see about that.”

HYDRA agents surrounded them as soon as Ward led them off the helicopter. Kasey was lucky enough to get placed between Lance, who she trusted to protect her, and the rookie pilot, who was too nervous to actually hurt her. They were led inside and into a lower level where the prisoners were kept in cells. Cameras were lined up in the halls, each on stationed outside a cell along with a guard to make sure a prisoner couldn’t escape without someone noticing.

“Hope you don’t have anything to do because you’re staying in here for a while.” One of the agents laughed before they were all taken out of their cuffs and shoved into their separate cells.
