Jungkook never expects it's this difficult when Seokjin ignores him. He knows all this while his heart still feeling guilty over what he did to the other but his ego overshadows his own conscience. Seokjin agrees to his plea is enough for him so far but he cannot help but to miss him.
His mind wanders thinking about Seokjin. How beautiful Seokjin was the first saw him, how when he smiles so wide there was creases under his gleaming eyes, how when Seokjin got blushed his cheeks often flushing red, how his shoulders hunching up and down from laughing hard, the squeaking windshield laughters that sounds so melodious to him.
Jungkook doesn't realise he is smiling alone, sitting down waiting for Namjoon in his office. He needs to know the story behind all of this and Namjoon is the perfect person to ask. He is still angry with his parents afterall.
"Kook, I'm sorry you waited long"
Namjoon closes the door, coming in after he had just finished with his department meeting. He is aware why Jungkook is here in his office, he is prepared for all the questions and attacks from the other.
"How are you?"
Namjoon sees the uneasiness in Jungkook.
"Of course you know hyung, do you expect I'm all okay after knowing all of that?" Jungkook remarks, tries not to sound rude but he can't help it. The bits of anger still linger in his mind.
Namjoon nods, he hands Jungkook a cup of decaf coffee before sitting down across him.
"Tell me everything hyung, everything you know and please don't leave any piece out"
That's how Namjoon begins to tell him about Yoongi and Seokjin, about their wedding, about the accident, about the heart donation and every parts of the story that makes Jungkook's heart clenches. His eyes focused on Namjoon but his mind haze, his hands tremble.
".. Yoongi and Seokjin were so in love with each other, I think I have never seen such pure lov-"
"I hurt him" Jungkook cuts in.
"Yeah, you told us Jungkook, we know you hate this marriage."
Namjoon answers, tries to be understanding. Jungkook always told them how he feels about the marriage and they won't judge him. Jungkook is caught between his own choice and his parents. As his close brother and friend, he doesn't want to pick side.
"I beat him up, I make him hospitalised. I hurt him that bad hyung"
Jungkook changes his sentence. That is the thing, the reality that Namjoon and Hoseok don't know, his parents don't know. He beat Seokjin until he was hospitalised, he left Seokjin alone fainted in his cold living room that night but he had fun with Jimin. He notices the shock in Namjoon's face.
"K-kook..what?"
"I beat him up hyung, I was so mad. Mad at this marriage I'm forced into, mad at this situation I'm in, mad at Seokjin that I vented out all my anger towards him. I ignored him, I didn't eat his food that he cooked for me, I left him alone all the time, I cheated at him with Jimin, I blamed him. I'm a loser. I'm a fucked up. You don't know this right hyung?"
Jungkook needs to tell someone about this and he wishes Namjoon can help him.
"So tell me how do I fix this." His eyes glassy.
"Help me hyung"He stares on the table, hands fiddling due to nervousness.
Namjoon freezes knowing the fact. He knows Jungkook since the younger man was still a teenager, having to follow Mr. Jeon to Faith every weeks, Jungkook was so friendly and handful. He helped the staffs there, he befriended many Faith's residents. No matter how absurd the situation is he knows Jungkook will be so calm but why he acted like that towards Seokjin?
"You know that was a domestic abuse Jungkook? How come you treat him like that. No matter how much you hate him violence is not the solution. Did Seokjin rude at you?"
Jungkook shakes his head.
"Did he cheat at you?" It's an obvious answer, Namjoon thought.
"Did he beat you too? threaten you?"
Every questions is answered with "no" from Jungkook.
"I'm sorry hyung"
the other chokes up. The words feel heavy in his mouth.
"To Seokjin?" Jungkook shocks.
"Have you said sorry to Seokjin?" Namjoon repeats his question.
That makes Jungkook shudders. He never tells sorry to Seokjin, even when he asked him to act civil with each other, that was for his own selfishness. He did not admit his mistake towards him.
"Hyung, I-"
Namjoon stands up from his chair and walks towards him. He knows Jungkook acted out of his messed up mind. He massages the other's stiff shoulders, feeling the firm part tensed up.
"If you want to fix this, start with apologising to him. Show him you really want to change. Be honest with your action. Seokjin maybe looks strong to you but his heart is fragile. He went through so many things, please take care of him.
Don't waste the heart that Yoongi had once used to love Seokjin for your own selfishness and pride. It's now your own heart, listen to it. I hope you make the right decision, Jungkook."
Namjoon pats the shoulder firmly wanting to talk more before a nurse comes in, calling him for emergency assistance. Before he rushes out from the office, he asks Jungkook one last question, hand already at the door knob.
"But Jungkook, do you love Seokjin?"
