requested by - me [ i have had a bad week and i need some short and soft domestic kenny ]
The soft morning light filtered through the window and lit up the bedroom. (y/n) sat up, but found themselves unable to get up due to the pair of arms wrapped around their waist. "Ken let go I gotta pee." (y/n) kissed the top of Kenny's head but he just mumbled a response that was impossible to understand and tightened his grip. With a sigh they laid back down.
"Stay in bed." Ken mumbled, resting their foreheads together. Obviously staying in bed sounded like the best idea anyone had ever said, but there were bathrooms to use and breakfast to prepare and a little girl to get ready for her first day of seventh grade. "Karen's a big girl, she can get ready herself." Ken kissed the tip of their partner's nose, "And you and I can be a little late."
(y/n) laughed, "I don't want to be late for the first day of senior year. You can stay in bed but I'm going to get up." With more reluctance than needed, Kenny let go of them and sat up slightly, just to see them walk off. (y/n) grabbed Kenny's shirt off the floor and slipped it over their head before heading off into the bathroom.
Kenny spent the next thirty minutes in bed, he would've stayed longer but he needed a kiss, to pee, and breakfast, so he reluctantly got out of bed. He was glad he walked into the kitchen when he did. Karen was sitting on one of the stools wearing an old shirt of (y/n)'s. They were both singing, (y/n) was jumping around like an idiot while flipping the pancakes. They stopped abruptly (eye color) eyes meeting blue ones from across the room, a smile made it's way onto their face.
"Morning sleepy head." Kenny made his way over to the kitchen, ruffled Karen's hair and kissed (y/n) on the lips. "Took you long enough." They smiled into the kiss, "Now stop distracting me or all the burned pancakes are yours."
"No I'm hungry!" Karen whined, "You better sit still Ken or I will fight." She lifted up her fists and gave her brother a smile, showing off the same tooth gap the McCormick's seemed to share.
"Fear not kiddo." (y/n) slid over a plate of pancakes that looked nice and fluffy, "Chocolate chip pancakes for Karen." The girl thanked the chef before gobbling up her pancakes.
"I'm off to the Ike's house so we can walk over together." Karen hugged them both goodbye. She slipped on Kenny's old orange parka as she walked out the door.
Kenny's arms slipped under (y/n)'s shirt and he rested his head on their shoulder, "One day it's not gonna be us saying goodbye to my sister." (y/n) smiled as they placed the last pancake on top of the tower. They turned around in order to face Kenny, "It's going to be us saying goodbye to our kids."
(y/n) smiled softly, "Shut up and eat your pancakes or we're going to be late babe." They kissed him softly and let their fingers tangle themselves in his hair.
"Don't do that or we're definitely gonna be late." He smiled, kissing their neck.
"Fuck it I changed my mind, but put the pancakes in the microwave or they'll get to cold." Kenny laughed at their priorities.
"God I love you." (y/n) froze, "You know I mean it right?" they nodded slightly. "I Love You." He gave them a small kiss after every word.
"I love you too."
