I wonder, have you ever felt this way
some autumns
when September glows florid red
and each tree is fecund even in its yearly death.
Have you ever felt this way
when blue October skies are boundless
and the wind dances with the woods
and leaves, torrential, pure, stumbling
like blithe two year olds
fall from Heaven.
Have you ever felt this way
when November comes creeping cold,
coruscating creaking bones,
bringing chill no brisk walk
