Nicki had rushed into the hospital looking for Nia and J-J. The officers calmed her down and brought her to room 270.

She found Nia lying there with a drip lead into her arm. She was breathing through a pipe. But she could see Nicki.

Nicki: Nia! You're okay! Oh my gosh I was so worried that you guys would die in there.

Nia: Me too. I knew you'd never forgive me. I'm so sorry.  I put your kids in danger. I never even knew about anything

Nicki: Don't worry, the detectives are on it! I have a feeling that someone purposely put your house on fire but I'm not sure who could do it.

Nia: Well we can't blame August because he's in jail already,  thats all I could remember. 

Nicki: Uh huh. Same here but do you have any haters?

Nia: Well there is Micheal's  (boyfriend)  ex girlfriend who dislikes me, there's Trisha who hates me for taking your side and-

Nicki: Trisha!!! It could be Trisha I'm sure she's furious enough to kill you. But then why would she be aiming for you because you're not in this situation.

Nia: ... Wait!  Isn't Trisha and August dating?

Nicki: I really don't know because he has a kid with Rachel though.

Nia: But they're still in love.  So, Trisha knows that your kids mean a lot to you so maybe she was actually aiming for the kids to get back at you!

Nicki: That totally makes sense!

Nicki went out to call an officer to tell him about this.

Nicki: So we have some explaining. There's this "ex friend" of mine who hates me

After the long explanation..

Nicki: So yeah, thats what we think happened.

Officer Mary: So you're not sure about it? *writes on her notebook*

Nia: Yes. Do you think you'll be able to nail her?

Officer Mary: Well not unless she confesses or we find evidence such as the obvious; fingerprint, hair strands and Different DNA.

Nicki: Okay!

Mary: But we will take her into questioning and I will let you know what we find.

Nicki: Great!

Nia: Thank you very much.

The officer leaves.

Nicki: So how are you feeling so far?

Nia: Still struggling to breath a bit but I can handle it.

Nicki: Good, listen I'mma go and check on the kids okay? I'll be back right now

Nia: No problem.

Nicki goes into the next room.

Nicki: Hey babies!

J-J: Mama!

Nicki: Aw I was so qorried about you guys. I thought you were.... Uhm, mommy loves you okay?

She hugged the kids tight.

Drake came racing to the room. He was out of breath.

Drake: Hey.

Nicki: Uh... Hey.

Drake: How are they?

Nicki: They good... I guess.

Drake: You guess? The hell do you mean "I guess"?!

Nicki: Drake do not start!

Drake: You guess! Our kids were in a fire because of you leaving yo damn responsibility to other people!  What if this was worse?

Nicki: What if?  Drake, this already happened and its over now. So drop it!

Drake: Oh my goodness Nicki! You telling me you don't give a damn about the kids burning to death!!!!

People started looking into the room to see why and who was shouting.

Nicki: Drake, don't make a scene people are watching!

Drake: You telling me what I shouldn't do?  Well lemme tell you what you should do... stop caring about date nights being canceled and start worrying about your kids!!

Nicki's pov

I was really not gonna stand there and watch this guy raise his voice at me. I've been at higher levels than this with August.  He hit me... so raising your voice leads to that and I ain't gonna let that happen!

Me: Drake, well if you cared so much about our family then why did you cancel our date night?  Huh? That means that you dropped your family for the guys and chilling with them with other women!

Drake: First of all, I ain't chill with no women. Second,  you shouldn't be trying to make  this about me! I'm not the one who left our kids and let them almost burn to death!

Nicki: They didn't burn to death! I didn't let them do it! If you think I'm that kind of mother then screw you!!!
