Chapter 2: Meeting Him

Tuesday, October 28

Lea's pov:

I woke up to my alarm blasting Good Girls by 5sos. I got up and did my normal routine. When I was done I picked out what I was wearing. Then I remembered today is the day I start this game. I decided to wear light blue skinny jeans, a white tank top, and my white Jordan's. I had to look good if I wanted to get a date with Mr. Vaughns. I really hope he doesn't fall in love with me though. I really don't want to be a heartbreaker.

I went downstairs and grabbed an apple to eat. "Hey sweetie!" My mom said walking into the kitchen excited. "Why are you so excited?" I said curious. "Well it's Jason and I's three year anniversary!" My mom said jumping up and down. "Whatever! Are you driving me to school today?" I said not even bothering to say congrats. "Yeah..." My mom said looking sad.

As we were driving to school I saw a cute boy with a SnapBack walking. He had a backpack on so I assume he was going to school. A few minutes later we arrived at my school. "Goodbye mom!" I said unbuckling my seatbelt and getting out the car. "Bye sweetie! Have a good day!" She said waving. I walked inside the school and who did I see waiting for me by my locker..... Will! (You thought it was Lexi huh?) "Hey Will!" I said giving him a hug. "Hey! How do you like the school so far?" Will said to me. "It's going great! I-" I was cut off by someone tapping me on the shoulder. It was Lexi. "Hey new girl! I want to introduce you to Dana! Follow me!" She said giving me an evil glare. "I'll see you later Will!" I said to him before she grabbed my arm a dragged me over.

I saw the boy in the SnapBack from this morning. I guess he was popular. "Dana!" Lexi said and SnapBack boy looked up and said "yeah." Oh lord thats him! He so freaking cute but I need to snap out of it. "This is Lea! Lea this is Dana Vaughns." Lexi said pushing me closer to him. "Hi! It's really nice to meet you." I said smiling at him. "Same! So your new her huh?" Dana said returning the smile. "Yep!" I said then the bell rang. "Nice meeting you bye!" I said to him then I ran down the hall to get to my first class.

(Skip to Lunch)

It was finally lunch time. I am glad because I was starving. "Hey new girl! Over here!" I heard someone shout. I turned around and saw Lexi calling me over to sit at her table. Just my luck I got to sit next to Dana. "Hey again!" I said sitting down next to him. "Hey! Lea right?" Dana said smiling at me. "Well these are my friends David, Will, Gabe, Cole, Cassidy which is Cole's girlfriend, and you know Lexi!" He continued pointed to each one when he called there name. "Hi!" They all said smiling at me. "Well I already know Will. We are like friends now!" I said smiling a Will. "Oh..." Was all Dana said. Lexi mouthed to me "Good job" with an evil glare. I still don't understand why I could be so stupid and except this stupid game. I was snapped out of my thoughts when the bell rang which meant lunch was over and I had History which I hated. I hugged Will goodbye and went to my class.

Dana's pov:

All during Math class I couldn't stop thinking about Lea. She is so different from other girls. She dresses modest, talks nicely, she seems sweet, and she's very pretty. I was snapped out of my thoughts when my teacher called my name. I payed attention for a little while but then I started thinking about Lea again. She so beautiful. But I think Will has a crush on her. I'm not sure though I guess I'll text him because this class is heck of boring.

(Text Convo W-Will and D-Dana)

D: Bro... You like that new girl?

W: Lea? No man! She's more like a friend to me. She's very beautiful but she's not my type.

D: K I'm just checking

W: you like her don't you?

D: yeah... But I just met her shell think I'm crazy if I just ask her out.

W: Just give her a ride home after school!!!

D: k thanks man bye!

I put my phone away quickly so I wouldn't get caught. After 30 minutes of torture the bell finally rang. I was so glad we had a minimum day. Then I remembered I had to drive Lea home. "Lea! Slow down!" I said running up to her. "Yeah Dana?" She said sounding confused. "Need a ride home?" I asked her smiling. "Don't you have practice?" She said smiling back at me. Her smile Is gorgeous. "Nope! We don't have it because of minimum day." I said to her. "Ok then... Sure!" She said and then I smiled wide at her. "My cars rigt over here!" I said dragging her to my car. Once we got in she was shocked. "Your car is really nice Dana!" She said looking around. "Thanks! Type in where you live in the GPS." I told her and she did what I said. "So any particular guy at school catch your eye?" I said hoping she would say no.

Lea's pov:

"Well yeah I do!" I said smiling at him. He looked sad. After a few minutes of driving we got to my house. "Thanks for the ride Dana!" I said kissing him on the cheek. "Y-your welcome!" He said blushing.

I hopped out his car and closed the door behind me. When I walked in my house I saw Jason on one knee. He was about to propose. I had to do something. I pretended to fall and twist my ankle. I fell on the floor and started screaming and fake crying. I used this all the time with my mom. Dad was the only one that knew I was acting.

Flashback:

"Dad! Mom!" I said crying well more like pretending so I didn't have to go to my first day of of school. "Sweetie!" My mom said giving me a hug. My Dad just smiled at me. "I don't wanna go to school." I said to my mom. She looked at Dad for help. "Let me talk to her! You go watch tv babe." My Dad said to her. Once she left and closed the door my Dad sat me on his lap. "I know your faking." He said suddenly. "W-what?" I said confused. "I used to do that when I was your age. So I can get out of stuff. But Lea can you be a big girl for me and go to school tomorrow?" He said looking me in the eyes. "Yes Dad!" I said hugging him. He always understood me.

(End of Flashback)

"Sweetie are you ok?" My mom said rushing over to me. "I twisted my ankle!" I said crying even harder. Jason looked worried. "Should we call the ambulance!!!???" He said. "No! She just needs to rest her leg for a while." My mom said trying to calm him down. "Well Lisa you didn't answer my question... Will you marry me?" He said again. Doesn't he get the hint!!?? "Yes!" She said crying. This has been an eventful day!
