Chapter 1: First Day Of School

Monday, October 27

Lea's pov:

My stupid alarm clock went off at 6am. I did NOT want to get up this morning. It sucks I had to start a new school today. My Mom and I just moved here from New York. I mean I guess I'll like it here but I have to see how school goes.

I guess I should introduce myself right? Ok well, my name is Lea. I'm 16 years old, I'm very shy and I keep to myself a lot. I love to dance and sing. I have been dancing since I was 6 years old because my mom put me in a dance class and I kinda just stuck with it as the years went on. I stopped singing when my Dad passed away, I was 10 at the time. Me and my Dad would always sing together. We would sing everywhere, even in the middle of a store. Well enough about me I have to get ready for school.

I put on some black skinny jeans, with a yellow short sleeved shirt and my black Jordan's on. I wanted to make a good first impression for my first day. I went downstairs and made myself a bowl of cereal. "Hey sweetie! Jason is driving us today ok?" My mom said to me when she saw me in the kitchen. Where should I start with Jason. Well, he loves my Mom very much and she loves him. I really don't want her dating anyone because Dad wouldn't want her to move on this quick. I mean yes it's been six years but still. I guess you can say I can't stand Jason. "Whatever!" I say rolling my eyes at her.

I washed my bowl and spoon when I was done and then went into the living room to watch tv until Jason comes. About 10 minutes past and he finally called my mom and said he was outside. What a gentleman! Dad always came to the door when ever he picked my mom and I up for something. I walked out the front door and went in the backseat. "Hi Lea!" He said trying to be nice. "Hi Mr. Field..." I said rolling my eyes at him. I call him by his last name and I always will. He will never take the place of my father.

"Have a good day at school sweetie!" My Mom said as I got out the car. "Bye Mom and Mr. Field." I said shutting the car door. I could tell Jason was hurt when I called him that but oh well. I walked inside the school. It was huge! I didn't know where to go so I decided to ask this Asian boy since he was standing right there. "Hi I'm Lea! Do you know where the office is?" I said walking over to him. "Hello I'm Will! Just down the hall. Hey Ill show you follow me!" Will said grabbing my hand. We stopped at a door that said Office. "Thanks for your help Will! I hope I'll see you around soon!" I said giving him a friendly smile. "No problem! See you around!" Will said smiling at me then making his way down the hall.

I walked inside the office and the lady smiled at me. "What can I do for you sweetie?" She said. "Well I'm new so I guess I need my schedule." I said to her. "Ok! Name?" "Oh sorry. Lea Johnson." I says to her and then she typed it into the computer. "Ok! It says you took dance for 10 years now. So how would you like to take cheerleading instead of PE?" "Umm.. I guess." I said. "Alright sweetie! Your all set have a good first day!" She said handing me my schedule. I had to go to home room at 9.

(Skip to At Cheerleading practice)

"Hey new girl!" A blonde girl says to me. "Hi?" I said confused to why she was talking to me. "You any good!" She said looking me up and down in disgust. "Well... Yeah I took cheerleading before." I said to her. "Well new girl! Show us what you got! Watch my moves carefully." She said and then she did her super easy routine. I did it and I didn't make one mistake. "Well! You are good... But! I have a little game we should play." She said giving me an evil glare. "Well if I win what do i get?" I said considering to accept. "You get to be on the team!" She said to me. "Deal! Now what's your name and tell me the rules of this game!" I said to her. "My name is Lexi. Rule number one! You have to score a date with the most popular guy in school." That wasn't so bad. I nodded my head so she would continue. "Rule number two! You have to make him fall in love with you." She continued. That is gonna be hard. "Ok..." I said to her. "Rule number three! When I think he is really in love with you.... You have to break his heart and break up with him! Any questions new girl?!" She said smirking at me. "What's his name and when do I start?" I said to her. "Well his name is Dana Vaughns he is number 23 on the football team. And you start tomorrow since school is about to end in a few. And keep in mind you have two months to complete this game!" Lexi said then the bell rang which meant school is over. I rushed to my locker, grabbed my things and started walking home.

"Lea wait!" I heard someone call. I turned around and saw Will running to catch up with me. "Hey Will! What's up?" I said smiling at him. "Well I was wondering if you needed a ride home?" He said smiling at me. "Sure! Thanks Will!" I said following him to his car.

(Skip car ride)

"Thanks for the ride Will!" I said kissing him on the cheek. He started blushing. "Your welcome." He said getting out the car and opening my door. "Bye Will! See you tomorrow!" I said smiling at him. I went inside my house and changed into my pjs I decided to do my homework. What did I get myself into with this game?
