Chapter Fifteen

“I can’t do it anymore!” Eben said while putting his head down on the table.

Corbyn, Eben, and I were having lunch together. Being the three new teachers that were around the same age seemed to connect us.

Corbyn and I looked at each other already knowing what Eben was talking about. I looked down feeling the sadness and jealousy go through me as well.

“We understand.” Corbyn said with a sigh while looking out the window.

“It has only been one month but feels like forever.” Eben groan, making Corbyn and I groan as well.

“Wait it has only been one month since we all got Jack, Zach, and Jonah to stop flirting with us.” Corbyn said stunned. Did he really think it has been longer, I get it if he did.

“If Zach comes into my class again with swollen lips from that stupid Ryan kid, I am punching Ryan through a wall.” I say with anger in my voice.

Zach and I had a nice student/teacher relationship now, but I wanted it to be more. I always did but now I really wanted it.

At first it was okay because Zach was single and I knew even through I said we couldn’t be together he would still like me. I knew deep down Zach still liked me, but with Ryan around it was getting harder to tell.

“Does he come in with hickeys too because I swear Jonah doesn’t even try to cover then up.” Eben said with jealousy in his voice from someone other than him marking what was his.

“Do you think they are in a abusive relationship and they can’t.” I wonder out loud. Zach didn’t seem like the type to show his hickeys all around school. But he did.

“That would explain the bruise around Jack’s hips.” Corbyn says.

“I think we are just making excuses.” I say with a sigh.

“I still can’t do it anymore, I need Jonah,” Eben said with determination in his voice. “And I am going to get him.” Eben finishes, making Corbyn and I gasp.

“You could get fired if people find out.” Corbyn said.

"I don’t care, Jonah is more important.” Eben said.

“You know what your right, Zach is more important, I could always get another school job somewhere else.” I say with determination in my voice too.

I wanted Zach, so I am going after him. Eben and I look at Corbyn, wondering what he was going to do. Would he fight for Jack?

“I’m in. I need Jack, I think I will die without him.” He says with a smile.

“Oh my god!” Eben shouts all of a sudden.

“What?” I ask him.

"Look!” Eben said while pointing outside. There was Shawn, our boss and the school's principal, having lunch with Tom, a student at school.

“You don’t think….” Corbyn said.

“Oh yeah I do. It takes four hours to get here, no one goes that far unless they don’t want to be seen in town with another person.” I say with a smirk. Eben and Corbyn getting smirks as well.

“Let’s go.” Eben said while getting out of his seat and walking to the door, you could tell he was going to talk to Shawn.

“No!” Corbyn and I yell out, stopping Eben in his tracks.

"Why not?” He asked.

“How would you feel if that was you and Jonah.” I say. Eben sighs and walked back to the table.

“Okay so how are we going to play this?” Eben said.

"Tomorrow morning we pay Shawn a visit in his office. We will then, in class, tell our boys that we need to see them this weekend, make up your own reasons, and that it has to be at their dorms. That’s when the fun begins.” Corbyn smirks. Eben and I smiling. Great plan!
