-Ptolemy's POV-

I had a sword in each hand, prepared to fight if anything came at me.  My black knee-length jacket swayed in the wind and my senses were up. Two people have already died and I don't plan to be the third. Then I heard a scream, a girl's scream. I look up and a girl fell on top of me. Ouch.

Her hair was a tangled mess and even though she wasn't heavy, the impact knocked the breath out of me and I felt squash. "Oh, sorry," the girl said

"It... It's okay," I wheezed "Just... Get.. Off me," She jumped up like she'd been electrocuted and I starting sucking in breaths of air.

"Ptolemy," I hear Dakota say "What the hell are you doing?!"

I shrugged "I was standing here peacefully when that sack of potatoes fell on top of me," the other girl glared at me, but then shrugged

"At least I didn't get squashed," she said. I noticed she was holding her right hand to her chest, cradling it. She looked like an injured puppy.

Dakota ran into the scenery. She was wearing a black and white skirt with a grey short sleeve top. Her red hair was blowing in the wind "Sorry about him," she said

"You don't have to apologise for me," I snapped at her

"Yeah, well, you're not going to do it anytime soon, so I may as well,"

"I think your forgetting she fell on me,"

"Again, I'm sorry about that," the girl said "I'm Dawn, my own teammate just pushed me off a tree," she pointed to a nearby tree which towered above the others, I nodded

"You're a popular kid," I said, she shrugged "Wait, your not on our team, are you?"

"No," she admitted

"Look, we don't want to fight, you can pass us and we'll just pretend this never happened, okay? Just because we're on different teams doesn't mean we have to kill each other," Dakota told her.

I turned to face her "Don't wuss out, we can take her!" then I was up and had both sword in my hands again

"I know we can take her, I just don't want to take her,"

"Afraid you'll get blood on your shirt?" I said in a little kid voice

"Well, yes, I mean, it's not like there's a washing machine lying around out here,"

I rolled my eyes at her. "I'm Ptolemy, by the way," I told Dawn

"Oh, right, I'm Dakota,"

Dawn nodded "Again, yeah, sorry about squashing you,"

I shrugged "Sorry about calling you a sack of potatoes," I said jokingly. She nodded, stood there awkwardly for a few seconds then just walked off. I turned to Dakota "I told you I could apologise,"

"Shut up,"

"You're just jealous I was with another girl,"

"What," I laughed at her expression, her red face, matching her hair, and her angry eyes. She was cute when she was angry.

-Dawn's POV-

My head and right hand was throbbing, but I still remembered what Imogen said. I can tell that Imogen was telling the truth. I don't know her very well, but most people usually tell the truth in moments like 'I'm going to kill you right now because I'm amazing,'. Imogen said that she didn't kill Imogene, but she gave the order. She even accidentally told me everyone who was in here alliance.
