Thanksgiving

---Ro's POV---
~November 26, 2020~

I sat down between Justine and Molly. Steve and Michelle were at one end of the table with everybody else in the Ezarik on Steve's right while the Pansiono family was lined up on my dad's right, with my dad at his end of the table. Mama mia, Molly, and I insisted on making dinner since I didn't exactly trust Justine's family not to burn the turkey.

"So?" Michelle asked. "When did Ro come out to you?"

"March of thia year." Mom replied.

"Really?" Steve asked. "Why so long?"

"Fear." My dad replied. "That's just my guess."

"He's right." I stated. "I did fear rejection."

"Justine's coming out was a bit more forced." Michelle stated. "She was outed by a group of cheerleaders. When I called the school and asked them to deal with it, you know what the parents of that girl said?"

"What?" Mom asked.

"That it was Justine's fault." Steve answered. "They claimed that Justine was the one who forced that girl to kiss her. That Justine brought the embarrassment onto herself. That Justine had it coming and got what she deserved."

"Steve and I refused to take it." Michelle stated. "We went to the school board, and this girl get an in school suspension for the rest of the year."

"And I got two weeks detention for punching the girl who took the picture." Bre stated.

"What?" Justine asked. "Didn't you tell me that was for the explosion in the chem lab?"

"That was Adam Sawicki who caused that." Bre stated. Justine and I looked at each other. Justine raised an eyebrow at me.

"I would of done the same." Molly stated. I shot a look over at Molly.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah." Molly stated.

"Nobody insults our sisters," Jenna stated.

"And gets away with it." Grayce stated, shooting an eye at Brian and I. Brian froze and I looked over at Justine and gulped. The rest of dinner was silent. After dinner was the football game in the back yard. Jenna had a Go-Pro attached to her head and Justine had her newest Insta360 attached to her shirt.

"Pansionos versus Ezarik?" Steve asked.

"No," Dad argued. "You have seven, we have five."

"If it helps," Justine stated. "I'll sit out."

"Why not make it even?" I asked. "Send a player over to our side and have them play for us?" Steve looked over at his family.

"I'll play for them." Brian stated, then jogged over to our side.

"Do you want to kick off first?" Steve asked.

"Sure." Dad replied. Dad kicked the ball over. Jenna caught it and booked it over to our side. My brother in-law caught her. I have a feeling this will be an interesting game.

~9 rounds later~
"1, 2, 3!" Steve shouted. "Hut!" We began running all over the place. Steve tossed the ball to Justine.

"I caught it!" Justine cheered.

"You idiot!" Bre shouted. "Run!"

"Shoot!" Justine shouted. She began running. I began to chase her. I tackled her down when we started rolling down a hill. We found ourselves in a large pile of leaves.

"Way to go you two!" Jenna shouted. "You hit a pile of leaves!" Justine popped up from the pile.

"Are you okay Justine?" I asked.

"Yeah." Justine replied. "You?"

"Yeah." I replied. I kissed Justine.

"WHOO-HOO!" Justine yelled. "TOUCHDOWN!"

"That wasn't a touchdown!" Bre shouted. "The ball went out of bounds!"

"Shut up Breanne!" Justine shouted.

"Just saying!" Bre shouted. Our parents began to laugh.

"Come on you two!" Dad shouted. "Time for pie!"

---Justine's POV---
I sat down next to Ro as I ate my third slice of pie. Can you tell I love pie?

"So?" Ro asked. "What are you getting for Black Friday?"

"Not sure." I replied. "I am definitely getting your Christmas present. Not sure what to get you yet."

"Babe." Ro stated. "You already got me my Christmas present."

"What did I get you?" I asked. Ro kissed me.

"You." Ro replied.

"Awe!" Bre, Molly, and Jenna cooed from behind me. I looked behind me and saw my sisters and Mo gushing and mine and Ro's mothers attempting not to join in. I turned back to Ro.

"And I have you." I stated. "But if I give you nothing, you won't have anything to remember our first Christmas together. Come on, I need to get you something for Christmas."

"If you must." Ro sighed. Ro placed her head on my chest and I began playing with her hair. She ended up falling asleep on me. Mom brought us over a blanket.

"I don't think I've seen you any happier." Mom stated.

"I have never been any happier." I stated, looking down at my sleeping girlfriend.

"You know," Mom said, sitting down. "Out of all the relationships you've been in, I like this one the best."

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah." Mom replied. "You're much happier with Ro than you were with the others. I think Ro brings out the best in you." I look down at my girlfriend and smiled.

"I guess you're right." I stated.

"You know," Mom stated. "When you first came out to us, I was shocked. You know how my generation was. However, you taught me something."

"What?" I asked.

"You taught me that no matter what," Mom stated. "Despite gender, age, ethical background, and so on, love is love an the world will continue to go round no matter who the person is."

"I taught you that?" I asked. Mom nodded. I hugged my mother.

"I love you sweetheart." Mom stated.

"I love you too mom." I said. Mom got up.

"Good night." Mom said.

"Good night." I said. I looked down at Rosanna, who snored. Cookie and Blueberry Muffin came walking over. Blueberry got up and began licking Ro's face.

"Blue..." Ro moaned. Blueberry stopped licking as Ro sat up.

"Thanks Blueberry." I stated to the dog. "I was hoping she wouldn't wake up." Blueberry hopped onto my arm and began licking my face.

"Have I been asleep for long?" Ro asked.

"About an hour and a half." I replied.

"I am stuffed." Ro yawned.

"Same." I replied. "Come on, we better get to Bre's place." I picked Ro up and kissed her forehead. I then carried her out to the car and we drove off.
