Chapter 5
Elliot's POV
How dare that, that...... I was at a loss for words I was so angry!!!! How could some one do that to the poor girl. I mean sure she wasn't overly pretty, but she wasn't ugly, and there was probably a great reason why she wouldn't talk.
Breathing deeply to keep my self control I looked at the blond, fake girl who stood in the doorway.
"As I said, freak, what is he doing in here with you? Or are you deaf as well as mute?"
Now that was just low. Once again anger boiled up inside me, especially as when I looked at Lana. She was blinking hard, as though trying not to cry. I'm not surprised, I would too if I had to put up with that every day.
"Oh so you ARE deaf! No wonder you never reply to anything, you can't hear me! And to think I thought it was you being a pathetic loser! Oh wait you are!"
I glanced at Lana again, to see how she was coping with this. I was so close to snapping. She had her head bowed, her messy hair falling in front of her face. If you looked carefully, you could see little droplets of water form in the end of her chin and fall off. She was crying.
That was the last straw, I lost it completely.
"Ok, what the HELL is your problem? First you trip her up, then take the mick, make her cry, and THEN you come in here just to piss her off even more, you really must have no life, if all you do all day is pick on one poor girl, who doesn't even stand up for herself. That isn't showing off, it's showing your feeble. Try picking on someone who will fight back, you coldhearted bitch!"
I was seething, wanting to smash something. Preferably that bitch's nose, but something like a window or vase wold do just as well.
What really riled me up was her response to my outburst. Instead of either walking off or crying like I expected, she stood her ground, and even smiled, at least that's what I think it was-if it was meant to be seductive it defnitely didn't work, it was a huge turn off.
"I'm sure you don't REALLY mean that. About you and me go somewhere quiet, and get to know eachother."
If she thought that was gonna work, she needed to see a phsciatrist.
Then, she carried on: "Let's leave this, thing, and have some fun. I bet you could be captain of the football team if you wanted."
She did not just call Lana a thing! It took everything in me not to go over and rip out her hair.
Instead I kept my cool and replied boldly: "No thanks. "I'm quite ok here with Lana. So if you don't mind, please leave."
Haha, take that! Bet she isn't used to someone talking to her like that, or choosing Lana over her. Can't see why, I would rather be Lana than her any day!
As I suspected, she reeled back a bit, before regaining her composure.
"Fine, but when you get bored of that, or get so pissed off, come see me and together, we can make her life a living hell!"
With that, she walked, no floated out the door. I'm going to have to find out from Lana what she has done to that bitch to make her hate Lana so much.
I swivelled to face Lana, only to find that she was hyperventilating. I panicked a bit, as I had no idea what to do for someone who was hyperventilating.
I said the first thing that came to mind: "Hey, hey, Lana. Chill out! Deep breaths!! No way would I choose that slut over you, don't worry!!"
She did as instructed before simply raising an eyebrow at me. Then a look of sadness, realisation and another emotion I couldn't work out crossed her face.
"What's wrong, Lana?"
She shook her head hard. Christ, now that bitch made me lose her trust.
Well then, I better work to get it back.
