We aparated across the street from a tall building. The muggle was fat and smelt of sweat. Just before we entered the woman turned to us and said "Okay, before we go in I'm not supposed to have men on the premises."

"You're probably not supposed to have shapeshifters either," I muttered.

"In that case, we and Mr Kowalski can easily seek other accommodation..." Newt replied quickly but didn't finish before Miss Goldstein said "Oh no you don't!"and dragged us across the road and into a tall block of flats similar to Jacob's.

We walked up some stairs. About halfway up a lady yelled at the woman asking if she was alone and the woman lied saying that she was. We stopped outside a door and Tina let us in There was strange music and another lady stood at the back of the room.Clothes were hanging off floating rods next to a fire and dishes washed themselves. Newt let go of Jacob and I held his coat. "Teenie you brought men home?" the lady asked from  behind an open door. Newt walked over to the window and stared out at the city beneath us.

"Gentlemen this is my sister. Want to put something on Queenie?" Tina gestured the lady behind the doors. Jacob seemed entranced by her. "Oh, sure" Queenie replied using magic to slip on a dress before comeing out from behind the doors. "So who are they?" she asked excitedly.

"That's Mr Scamander. He's committed a serious infraction of the National Statue of Secrecy, as well as bringing the shapeshifter by his side there," Tina said trying to point out as many of our flaws as possible. Newt turned around when he heard his name. "They're Criminals?" Queenie asked half shocked half exited. I wanted to say that we had done nothing wrong but this was a different place with different rules to follow."Uh huh," Tina was taking off her shoes and chucking them in the corner. I couldn't tell whether I liked her or not.

"And that's Mr. Kowalski. He's a No-Maj." Jacob waved but it was clear he had no clue what was going on.

"A No-Maj? Teen, what are you up to?" Queenie asked curiously.

"He's sick. It's a long story. Mr Scamander has lost something I'm going to help him find." both girls looked over at Jacob who was violently swaying trying to stay upright and awake. "Oh... You need to sit down, honey. He hasn't eaten anything all day." Queenie rushed over just as Jacob fell back on the sofa. She was very strange, I could just sense it about her. She looked at him and then started talking about bakeries and cooking and loans. "You're a Legilimens?" Newt asked curiously.

"Uh uh, yeah. But I always have trouble with your kind. Brits. It's the accent." She responded but I didn't know whether she meant Newt, me or both. Either way I was glad she couldn't read my mind. Newt came forward and put his hands on the sofa.

Jacob managed to finally put a sentence together. "You know how to read minds?" he was shocked, I guess all muggles would be if they were in this house. Witches and wizards arn't supposed to show magic to muggles. "Aww, don't worry, honey. Most guys think was you was thinking, first time they see me." she had this kind tone in her voice towards the muggle or No-Maj. What was the difference?. "Now, you need food."

Newt walked over to the window just as a Billywig flew past. "We need to leave," I whispered to him

"I know." He replied making his way towards the door. He grabbed the door-handle just as Queenie asked a question that I didn't hear, something about food. We both stayed by the door, Newt answered but I didn't say a word.

Then Queenie put her wand in the air as all these different kinds of foods mixed together and then was wrapped tight in fresh pastry and cooked by an invisible flame. Just as it landed on the table the lights  dimmed and Tina looked at us in confusion. "Well, sit down, Mr Scamander, we're not going to poison you."she said  with a smile. But she said nothing about poisoning me. I could hear Pickett wine from Newt's pocket as he went to sit down.

Queenie was non stop talking with Jacob and rarely let him respond vocally. I was sat on Newt's lap and he was slowly eating the food. After he finished his mouthful he tried to convince me to have some but I refused. Queenie saw me refusing to eat her food. "Is it too hot or something?" she asked not knowing whether to use a tone for a child or one for talking to a pet.

" I don't take food from strangers," I answered trying not to sound rude however it clearly didn't work as she looked away like a dog would if it had been scolded. Jacob complemented to food to cheer her up a bit.

"Sorry, if I'm being rude but whats a No-Maj?" I looked at Tina. She hadn't stopped starring at Newt and I the hole dinner. "Non-Magic," Tina replied slowly as if she was talking to an alien. Tina looked at me as in pure confusion to the point where I couldn't tell who was more.

After dinner, Tina showed us to the spare room but we had to share with the muggle. She left us but said she'd be back soon. Newt put me in the case and told me to work out who had escaped.

I rushed around the case, on the inside it was divided into many zones, one for each animal. Frank was alarmed to see me, I asked him if he knew who had left but he didn't know. I ran to the big tree in the middle of the case, in the tree was a hole filled with all the treasures and shiny things Newt could afford. Everything was in place apart from the niffler who lived there. Next I checked the occamy nest. They were all there but Dougal wasn't in his weaved house next door. Erumpent who was supposed to be next to Frank was also gone.

I heard Newt come into the case and when I went to the hut Jacob was there as well. "What happened to showing him as little as possible?" I asked with a smile. I like being rebellious.

"Don't know. Could you get Mr Kowalski some water?" I was handed a mug. We had a water bucket under the work area that Newt  refilled eveyday with drinking water. I dipped the mug in as Newt explained to Jacob a little how the medicine was a little different. I carefully gave the mug to Jacob and smiled at him knowing that chances were he wouldn't remember me after he was eventually obliviated. He was sweating terribly but he did seem to be mentally better.  I looked over at Newt and shifted when I saw he was chopping up meat for the graphorns. I jumped onto the work surface using my wings slightly to push myself up. When he saw me, Newt tossed a fatty piece of  meat over his shoulder for me to chase. He then put the rest of the meat in a bucket and handed it to Jacob who looked rather disgusted.

We left the hut and Newt immediately went to see Frank. Frank greeted him politely while showing  off his shining wings  to warn the muggle to stay back. Of course he didn't listen and Newt had to tell him in English. After seeing to Frank, Newt showed Jacob around but I stayed behind.

The new human is weird, I started looking over my shoulder as the pair moved on.

I can tell. I thought you didn't like people?

This one has no magic. When I first saw him he threw sharp metal at me but He can't hurt me here.

Ready for flying lessons? Frank spread his wings. I yapped a yes and climbed the pillar in his area. Frank showed me the wing technique and encouraged me to copy. I practiced while still on the pillar. I then leaped off but forgot to keep my tail flat and so fell and Frank had to catch me. Don't worry remember  to keep your back in line with you're tail and only tip your head up to look over your shoulder for a few seconds no more! You'll get there soon. I knew he was right. But Newt called me before I could try again. I podded over.

"Jacob might know where the erumpent went. Do you want to come with us or stay in here?" He asked in the voice he used when he had just told someone off. Probably Jacob. I nodded. Shifting back into human form and smiled.
