"Mom, it's going to be okay please stop crying," I said to my mom while hugging her goodbye "I'll be only an hour away so I'll come to visit every weekend."

"I know, but my baby is all grown up now, and I'm just happy to see how much you've improved after everything that happened," my mom said, "I want you to remember that you are smart, you are beautiful, and that I'll always be there for you." She hugged me tightly one more time and then released me from the hug.

"I will, thank you, mom," I said while moving closer to my car, "I'll see you this weekend, okay?" She nodded her agreement. "bye mom and dad,"

"Bye, Jasmine," my dad said as he waved goodbye to me.

I waved goodbye back and then got into my car and started to drive to my new school.

~an hour later~

I parked my car on the side of the road near the front entrance of the dorm building. I got out of my car and took my suitcase out of the trunk of my car.

When I looked at the building, I couldn't help but have a bit of anxiety. I mean, I won't already have friends here, so I'll be alone. More alone than I was before. Then I went into the dorm building and walked up to the front desk. "Hi, I'm Jasmine Gold, and I'm supposed to be staying in this building," I said to the girl with bone straight blonde hair sitting at the front desk. The girl had her head down and had headphones in her ears, so I'm guessing that she didn't hear me since she didn't say anything or lookup.

I knocked on the table in front of her, and she finally looked up "can I help you" she said in a rude tone like I did something wrong to her.

"I'm Jasmine Gold, and I wanted to know which room I'm in," I said to her. She looked on her computer for my name and said, "you will be staying in room 2J, here is your key don't lose it," and she handed me a key. "Thank you," I said, being polite even though she isn't even listening anymore.

I walked over to the elevators and pressed the up button. The elevator doors opened, and I got in. The doors were slowly starting to close, but then someone called out "HOLD THE ELEVATOR," and I stuck out my hand and pressed the close doors button, not wanting anybody else to be in here with me. But as if the elevator heard the voice call out and knew I didn't want someone to come in the elevator, the doors slid open instead of closing. "What the butt," I whispered to myself in anger at the stupid elevator doors. Just then, a figure squeezed through the closing elevator doors. He then tripped over the small crack and fell flat on his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I stared at his body, laying on the floor. Slowly he got up from the floor and then turned to me. When he got up, I realized that this guy was tall and handsome. He looked to be 6 feet tall with curly brown hair.

"I'm fine, but were you pressing the close doors button," he said, looking at me like I was crazy.   While he was looking at me, I realized that he has some beautiful hazel eyes, and his face is just so bright. I was so mesmerized by his face that I didn't notice he was getting closer to me. Jeez, have you ever heard of personal space, I thought.

"No I didn't do that, I..I was pressing the open button," I lied looking away from him and backing up closer to the wall of the elevator.  I don't know if he believes my lie or not. Oh man, I shouldn't have looked away that is a clear sign of lying. "what does it matter what button I pressed anyways you got onto the elevator."

"Yea I guess, what does it matter," he said taking a step away from me.

"Are you in a hurry or something," I asked him because why else would someone rush into the elevator like that instead of waiting for the next one.

"No," is all he said.

"Anywho, my name is Jasmine, what's yours?" I asked him when the elevator got to the 1st floor.

Without telling me his name he just walked out of the elevator. Well, that was rude what did I do to him or is he always that rude to everyone.
