Another 15 minutes went by, and as Ami was getting a little impatient now, she was close to asking father why he had woken her at all. The sky was cloudy now, the sun had disappeared and a aim looked back to see if the moving van was still behind them. It was, and she turned her head to face the road again, giving her father a slow sideways look as she did so.

Ami was a sweet little girl, even though she had turned 13 a few weeks ago, but she was quite small for her age, timid and frail. She loved her father dearly, and always tried her best to show it when she can, asking him if he can play with her, but he very rarely obliged, saying he had to finish a project or experiment. She would then go and play by herself, outside on the swing hanging from a tree, or in her room, playing with John, her imaginary friend.

She never told anyone about John, because he had begged her not too, and even though she enjoyed having a friend that only she could see all to herself, she would wonder would be so wrong with it. Yes, she still talked to him, even now, but she was never bothered by it, at any rate she was pleased it have such a supposed brilliant imagination.

Sometimes they would argue, because John used to just stop in the middle of a game or conversation, and say the same thing.

"Never do the charm Ami, it is dangerous. Promise you'll never use the charm." John would always say that, with a very sincere expression, and Ami would always promise never to do the charm, but would always ask what charm and why she wasn't to use it. Every time she was told this, she would always ask questions, but never got an answer, and eventually, she just gave up asking, and ignored it when he said it again.

Ami suddenly felt a presence behind her in the backseat, and turned her head. There sat John, in the seat directly behind her and he smiled at her, his blonde hair moving slightly with the breeze that came from Ami's open window. His toffee coloured eyes didn't leave her purple ones, and in turn Ami smiled back at him before turning back it the road, comforted by Johns appearance.

He looked the same as he had when he first appeared to her, when she was 6. He had also told her that he was 14 when they first met, and for the 7 years that they've known each other, he hadn't aged a bit. Since they were never enough the same age now, they talked a lot more about Ami's tutoring or he would listen to her wonder about fathers work. John never spoke to her any differently than when he had when she was little, well littler. But she didn't mind, in fact she liked the way he spoke, like sort of old fashioned. Ami and her father spoke like that too, as did many in this country, but not many of her old friends did, which made John all the more special too her.

"Ami, look." Father said in a low voice, and pointed to a hedge. Ami squinted, but saw nothing, "What is it father?" She asked innocently, and her fathers lenses glinted. "Thats our new home, behind the hedge. You shall see it in a moment." Father said, and Ami started to get fidgety again, this was on the other side of the village to her school! There were no other houses around, and she began to wonder how big or old this house really was.

They drove down another road, passed the hedge and Ami's eyes almost popped out if her head. It took a moment to regain her voice, "Father...is t-that it?" She said shakily, pointing with a trembling finger up towards a gigantic..rock thing. It could only be described as a castle. It was huge, with big windows and a huge wooden set of double doors. There was a tower on the left of the castle, with a pointy roof and a small window, and Ami looked up in awe. She was absolutely gob smacked.

'This is my new home? Father never said anything about it being like this! Oh my, it is like something the royal family would own!' Ami thought, not taking her large eyes off the house as they parked next to it, and the van parked next to them.

Ami and father got out of the car and stood next to it, while John simply passed through the door and stood next to Ami. They all looked up as the house loomed over them, and even though they had lived in a mansion before, it seemed just have the size of this magnificent building.
