Ami's eyes slowly fluttered open as she slowly gained conciousness, lulled by the sounds of the early birds singing their morning songs. She steadily sat up, wiping the sleep from her eyes and stretching the muscles in her small body. Looking over at the large chair, she noticed that John wasnt there, as he had been when she went to sleep, and she looked around for him, but her friend had disappeared.
"John?" She asked, but no reply came and she shrugged, got out of her bed and went over to her wardrobe, 'maybe he went out for a walk. strange, he usually comes when i call' Ami thought, then pushed it to the back of her mind, she needed to get dressed.
Opening the wardrobe, she hummed thoughtfully, scouring the contents until she suddenly remembered the dress she had seen when she arrived, and flicked through her clothes until she found it. It looked the same as she had pictured it, and Ami took it out and hung it on the door handle, taking a good look at it. Black with white lace and petticoat, the sleeves were wide and the dress itself was quite small, and Ami estimated that the bottom would come up to...maybe her mid thigh?
Ami grinned and slipped off her white nightdress and carefully put the black one on, and then walked over to her mirror and turned so she could tie up the back lace. She then went to her nightstand and took out the red ribbon she always wore in her long black hair and went to stand in front of her mirror once more. Ami smiled, she really liked that dress and was glad her father had said she may wear it. Suddenly, a growling moaning sound came from Ami's stomach and she yelped in surprise and immediatly blushed even though there was no one who had heard it. She sighed and decided that now would be a good time to head downstairs and see if Colin has made any breakfast yet. Before she left, she went and stood by the window, peeping out.
Today, i think i'll go outside and play
Ami thought to herself, and quickly pulled on some black thigh high socks and some little black buckle shoes. She then opened her bedroom door and quietly walked down the hall and the flight of stairs, until she came to the bottom, and her little heeled shoes made light pitter patters on the stone floor and she came to the dining room and opened the door. Immediatly the smell of porridge filled her senses and she heavily sniffed the air dreamily before sitting at the table just as Colin came out of the kitchen with a bowl full of Ami's favourite breakfast.
"Your breakfast, Mistress." Colin said before carefully placing the bowl before Ami and doing a little formal bow. Ami giggled and in turn did her own little curstey while still in her seat, which wasnt necessary but Colin smiled at her all the same. "Thank you, dear Colin, may i ask where father is?" Ami asked, before putting her first spoonful of the porridge in her mouth and looking back up at Colin. He risked a glance towards the tower door before saying "Master is working Milady and is not to be disturbed, but he has asked me to inform you that you shall see him at supper time, but until then you are free to play." Ami nodded slowly, eating her prorridge as Colin slipped back into the kitchen, probably to see to the plants on the window sill.
Ami finished her porridge and left the table, she wanted to go and explore the orchard and then play on the swing.
John has been gone a long time
The huge front doors towered over Ami, and she again used both hands to push the left one open. She grunted as the door slowly opened, the creaking groaning sound filling the entire hall, and Ami peered round the door before slowly stepping out into the garden. The sun was warm, but clouds could be seen heading towards the house, soon it would be grey. "I'd better get moving before it rains, maybe John will come play with me." Ami said to herself, and walked towards the orchard with adorable childish enthusiasm and weaved through the trees until she came to the last one.
