Alva's POV, two weeks later

I sat in the back garden, playing with Edgar and Maya. They seemed so happy and playful. Why wasn't I? My life seemed yo be tumbling out of control, like I was falling down the rabbit hole, but I wasn't. I was simply just confused.

School for me was starting soon. I was going to be in Year 9, with 13 and 14 year olds, which was quite daunting. I was scared I was going to be embarrassed, because I could barely write or read or do simple math. I could just imagine everyone laughing at me, calling me dumb and stupid and other names. I needed help.

I walked back into the house, after Edgar and Maya. Marzia was in her office, editing a video. I knocked gently on the door before opening the door. Marzia twisted round on her swivel chair to face me. "Hey Alva! Are you OK?" She said, reading  my facial expression. "No!" I sobbed, finally breaking down into tears. Marzia gestured for me to come over and hug her, so I did. "Whats the matter, fiore?" She asked, accidentally slipping into her Italian, which she only did when tired. "I'm scared" I sobbed into her. "Too much horror?" Marzia asked. "No, school! I'm scared they'll all tease me because I can barely do anything. A two year old probably knows more than I do!" I cried even harder into Marzia, covering her shoulder in my tears. "Really? I thought you were a brave girl, but if it means that much, we could try teaching some basic stuff if you want?" I looked ayraigt Marzia before hugging her again. "Oh yes yes yes yes please!" I said into Marzias  shoulder.

Two hours later, after a cookery video and lunch, Marzia bought in a pencil and piece of paper so she could teach me to write. It was a long, shaky and frustrating process, but after fifty two minutes, I wrote my first alphabet. After that, I wrote my first long sprawling word, 'cab'. I was pleased and proud of myself. Then we went on to write my name out. After two minutes, I wrote my name out. A shakey Alva Lunetta Marzia Kjellberg was on my paper. I stopped and looked at my writing, so pleased with what I had accomplished. "I wont have to use the voice keyboard for much longer!" I said jokingly.

Two days later.

I woke up to the beep of my alarm at half past seven. My fresh new school clothes lay draped over my chair, along with a bag filled with essentials for school. It also had my first words, sentence, name and some simple maths too, in case I got stuck. I walked downstairs. Marzia was still in bed, but Felix was up. "Felix, its before midday and you're up. Is there a zombie invasion?" I asked him, and we both burst out laughing.

After a small breakfast, I ran upstairs to put on my uniform. There was a shirt, a tie, a jumper, a skirt and a pair of tights. I struggled into my clothes and looked in the mirror. This was it. I was going to school for the first time ever. I wasn't going to let anyone do anything to me. If they didn't like me, I wouldn't like them. I would do my best and try to make friends and most importantly, not stress out.  I pit all of my stuff into my bag and then ran down the stairs to Felix. "What's the rush, liten flicka?" Felix asked. "School" I replied, dancing frantically, one foot to the other. "Its okay! Don't worry, you'll be on time. Its the start of a new adventure for you!" Felix said, in a heroic voice, making me smile.

Mysterious person POV

So, she's starting school today. She's finally growing up and will have a future. But I want to be part of that future.  I deserve to have some part of her future. She owes me big time.

Hey everyone! Don't kill me! I just lost the feel for the book, felt a bit like I'd done all ideas, but I'm  back! Also, like Alva's handwriting?
