Chapter 9

         I wake up and go to the kitchen to find me something for breakfast. I grab some oatmeal from the pantry and put it in the microwave while I cut up a banana. I decide to check my email and I see that I have an email back from Starbucks asking me to come in for an interview today at 4 pm, I'm so surprised considering you normally have to wait weeks before you hear back on a job. I add the banana to my oatmeal and let it cook on the counter while I go to check Victoria's room, she is passed out asleep and I decide not to bother her. It does upset me that we haven't really seen much of each other, and we really need to get some groceries.

          After finishing my oatmeal I decide to wake up Victoria and make her go to Whole Foods with me. "Wake up Victoria! We are going to Whole Foods! Our Uber will be here in 20 minutes!!" I yell into her room as she groans but agrees to go. I take down my hair and re put it up in a neater pony tail, I throw on Nike dri-fit shorts and a tank top with my crocs. Victoria walks out in a T-shirt, shorts, and flip flops and a messy bun. "Wow it's good to finally see you. I thought you were dead" I say rolling my eyes at her. "Okay yeah I know I've been absent but I have been living it up. I met Anthony and he has changed my life!" She gushes. Who is Anthony, I haven't heard her talk about him before. "Where did you meet this Anthony?" I say concerned, "Sarah stop being judgmental you've been hanging out with a guy who you met in the lobby you can't judge me! But I met him while out getting coffee at Phil's." she explains. "Speaking of coffee, I have an interview at Starbucks at 4pm!!" We both do a happy dance, things are finally looking up for us.

           We make it to Whole Foods and of course I go wild getting all the healthy foods we need. "Come on Sarah! We need some junk food!!!" Victoria whined. "Tori I bought some junk food... LOOK!!!" I say pointing into the buggy. "Organic vegan cheezit wannabe crackers DON'T count!" I roll my eyes allowing her to get the Oreos she was wanting. Little does she know that Oreos are vegan too.

        We get back home and I put away the groceries while Victoria watches TV. "I'm gonna hit the shower so my hair can dry before I go to my interview." I look at my phone and it's already 1:30pm and my thick curly hair takes hours to dry. While I shower I hear my phone ding from a text, then again, and again. My phone then begins ringing, I reach out of the shower to grab my phone off the toilet lid and answer it.

*Phone Call*
Me- Hello?
Harry- hey it's Harry! I was just calling to see how you were.
Me- oh hey! I'm sorry I didn't have your number saved. But I have an interview with Starbucks today his evening and I'm so happy!!!
Harry- Congratulations! I hope you get the job!
Me- thanks! But can I call you back I'm kinda in the shower right now?
Harry- of course talk to you later!
Me: see ya later!

       I check and I see the texts were actually from my mom asking how I was and telling me about her weird dream she had. I quickly send a reply and go back to my shower. I walk in and let a barista know I'm there for an interview and she told me that someone would be with me shortly and asked if I need a drink. I decided to get a grande pink drink while I wait. A middle aged man with a clipboard comes over and sits across from me at my table and introduces his self.

I walk out to my Uber wearing a smile with my new green apron in my hands. I text everybody I know letting them know I received the job. Victoria suggests we go out to celebrate and that we invite Anthony and Harry. I send Harry a text and wait for his reply. I go to my closet and find a cute yellow dress that I pair with my favorite black heels. I throw on some red lipstick and I'm ready to go.

Harry comes to the room and knocks at the door. Victoria lets him in while I brush my teeth. I walk out and I can't help but notice how perfect Harry looks in his button up shirt and pants. "Hey beautiful." He greets me. I blush with this comment. "Hi" I reply shyly. "Okay you two love birds come on." Victoria says heading out the door.

         We make it to the restaurant that Harry had suggested for us. I've never seen such a fancy place in my life, back home we don't have restaurants like this. We get checked in and make our way to the table, Harry pulls the chair out for me, "thank you!" I say while sitting down.
