Time eventually came for Edd and Tom to leave their room. A tall man with a blue and red sweater knocked on their door and escorted them to the dining room.

"What's up with his hair?" Edd whispered to Tom as he saw that he had two horns poking out like the devils.

Tom didn't say anything as he laid his hand very close to his sword, he knew what they were doing. Tom was given the same commands before by the queen back in their kingdom when a guest came to their castle. Some knights would stay right outside of the room and keep watch, they would always have to escort the guests everywhere. He could tell these people did not want them around, they sent the army general to monitor them.

"Be careful," Tom whispered into Edd's ear which in turn made him give Tom a confused look, "They don't trust us." He whispered back, too loudly as Tord turned around and eyed Tom.

Tom looked away from his gaze. His piercing eyes could kill a man, but he knew he had to strategize on how to take him down if it ever came to that.

"What's your name if you don't mind me asking?" Edd asked as they walked, trying to get on his good side.

"Tord," He replied as he opened a door "Here we are." revealing a giant room, with a huge table in the center, filled to the brim with food.

Edd couldn't help but lick his lips and follow the scent. Tom followed as well but was stopped by Tord.

"Knights do not eat with the royals." He declared and began to drag him out of the area, which caught Edd's attention, not knowing what to do.

"Actually," Tom began as he ripped Tord's hand off of him, "I was given orders by my queen to stay and protect Prince Edd at all times." Tom glared at him as he walked back towards Edd.

Tord was about to stop him when the queen shook her head, "Tord its alright," She gave an innocent smile and sat down, Edd took a sigh of relief and pulled out a chair for him.

"So when is the prince going to show up?" Tom asked trying to mask his annoyed voice.

"RIght now!" She clapped happily as the door opened and in came a beautiful prince, with orange hair, curled at the top and a purple outfit with green pants.

"Hello!" He cheered and walked up to Edd, grabbed his hand and planted a small kiss on it, "I knew you were going to be handsome but I must say I am impressed." He then sat down next to his mother and grabbed some food.

"Well as you both know, you two are to be married very soon. Edd's mother will be arriving shortly as soon as she's done getting ready with a few things, for the time being, we will all have dinner and soon leave you two alone to get to know each other!" She smiled and began to eat her food.

The rest of them did so as well and soon the time came, which Tom dreaded the most, which was to leave them alone. He didn't want to but he knew the most he could do at this point was stand outside the door and keep watch.

"Now I'll let you two be!" The queen got up and escorted Tom and Tord out of the room.

"Make sure they don't leave this room, let them get to know each other." She whispered to them and left them alone.

"So what do you like to do for fun?" Edd asked.

"I love to admire myself in the mirror and wonder how I got this beautiful!" He said as he held up a mirror and checked his hair, "Oh by the way, I got you this." Without looking at Edd, he handed him a beautiful mirror covered with diamonds.

Edd thanked him and looked down at it. He looked miserable, he wanted Tom to come in here and comfort him. They could talk for hours endlessly about whatever. He felt his heart grow warm when he remembered how surprisingly comfortable he felt when he talked to him about becoming a knight. He decided to do what Matt was doing, which was checking himself out in the mirror. He smiled at the sight of his now clean hair, earlier he had taken a quick shower in the bathroom.
"Do you have any hobbies?" he asked, hoping he'd get a longer answer this time.

"I love to buy clothing, especially ones that make me stand out!" He puffed out his chest and gave him a bright smile.

Edd giggled but said nothing more after that. Edd had barely just known this man, but it felt like he had already lost him. He wasn't even asking him questions back, anything would work even if the centered back to him!

"I think I should head back, I like to get a good night's sleep."

"Are you sure? it's only seven" Matt asked, for once looking up from his mirror.

"Yeah, I'm an early bird!" Edd gave a weak smile and opened the doors to leave.

Right then, he smacked his face right in front of a person. "Oh I'm so sorry!" Tom then quickly grabbed his face with both hands, "Are you alright?" He examined his face but nothing seemed harmed.

"I'm alright, Tom, I was just heading back to our room, would you care to join me?" He asked, wanting Tom to say yes.

"Actually we were given strict orders that you are not allowed to leave the room right now."

Tom looked at him sadly but nodded, "Sorry I have to listen to the queen, even if she's not from my own kingdom," He then whispered to something very quickly to Edd "But I saved you some cupcakes, so please don't kill me." And pulled away.

Edd tried his best to look mad at him but sprung a smile and walked back into the room hoping that after a few more questions he would at least say something.

"Are you two close?" Tord asked, confused, "I usually don't see that kind of relationship with a knight and prince."

"What do you mean?" Tom asked, playing dumb.

"Well you clearly care about him, you saved him cupcakes." Tord said.

"How do you know about that?" Tom asked suspiciously.

"A knight would've just apologized and left but you just grabbed his face and made sure he was okay." Tord said confused.

Tom would usually be angry if someone had integrated him like this, maybe even worried, but right now he was over the moon. Not only had Edd wanted to leave, but he wanted to leave with him, and Tom just couldn't stop smiling over that.
