jimin; If I were to choose how my next victim would die, I'd normally choose something convenient but for this one I think I should make it a little more special. She's young and full of vigor. The more I see her, the more I desire for her. Her skin is untouched and smooth, despite the layer of dirt that covered it at the end of the day after she has worked her bones off. They say a tooth is much more to be prized than a diamond.
I placed my the personal knife back, after sharpening it, into the magnetic holder that is mounted by the wall and prepared to meet her. She usually comes around this time and she's almost never late. I love that about her. I'll probably treasure her more than the others.
"Hello, Jimin." She cheerfully waved her arms in the air as she jumps out of the truck, running to the back to get the deliveries. She hauled one box of cabbages in one swoop and made me realize how much strength she had. I might need to consider that. Maybe a sedative would do the job.
"Let me get that for you." I swiftly move next to her and take the box out of her arms, before giving her a smile. She reached for the other boxes but I stopped her. "Leave them there. I can carry them myself. You're probably tired from all these deliveries."
"Not really. I'm used to this by now.. but thanks. No one's ever been this nice to me." She set her gaze low as she uttered the words softly, eyes having that glint of admiration. I can see through her easily. This would be too easy.
"Open the door for me please." I said, moving towards the back door of the kitchen. She hurried to it and assisted me until the last box. "That was some exercise. I can't believe someone as small and delicate as you is doing this all day."
Chaeyoung gives me a shy smile, prying her eyes away from mine quickly when the truck honked. She turned to look towards the delivery truck's direction. A young guy in the driver's seat, probably the same age as her, was waving over to her, "If you're done there, let's go! I need to get home."
"Yeah, I'm coming now!" She yelled back at him before turning back to me with an apologetic look, "I have to go.."
"Who's he? I haven't seen him with you before." I questioned, cocking my head to the guy in the truck.
"Oh, I totally forgot to introduce him to you. I was so busy with the deliveries.." She chuckled, "His name's Jungkook. We're neighbors. My parents took him as a part timer. Just to have an extra hand for the summer since it's always busy around this time."
"Oh. That's great. You'll have someone to help you. Are you close with him?" I asked again, looking away from the guy and meeting her gaze. I realized I sounded too serious so I let out a laugh, "Sorry, I sound like I'm interrogating you for a second there. Don't worry. You don't have to answer that. It's really not my business to know who your friends are."
Actually, it is. I don't want you to be attached to anyone. What's mine is only mine.
"No, it's okay." She waved her hands infront of her. "Jungkook and I are not that close. We just go to school together. I mean, I only talk to him when we do the deliveries. Other than that, we don't really hang out. He has his own group of friends."
"Ah, is that so? And you? Any friends?" I continued and she slowly lifted her eyes to look at me like a helpless, little girl.
"I.. don't really fit well at school. No one likes me. Who would want to be friends with the daughter of a farmer?" She said in a quiet voice, "Girls don't want to hang out with me because of my tanned skin. That's why I don't like school that much."
"Tanned skin or not. You are beautiful the way you are, Chaeyoung. Believe me." I replied, making her smile. She blossoms like a rose in the summertime every time I compliment her. Such a delicate piece you are.
"Thank you. That's so nice of you to say." She added, collecting the few strands of hair across her face and tucking them behind her ears.
"It's always my pleasure to cheer you up." I gave her a warm smile and right after I spoke, another loud honk came. Chaeyoung gestured to the guy and said she was leaving.
"I really have to go. I'll see you around, Jimin." She said and stepped towards the exit.
I reached her arm in time and she turned her eyes back to me, "You haven't forgotten about our thing, right?"
"Of course not." She showed me a smile. "I'll meet you here tomorrow."
"No, don't come here." I told her and confusion painted her face. "Instead, I was thinking we could meet somewhere else. I prepared something. I'll text you the address. It's not a big thing. Just a dinner to thank you for always helping me with some of my errands. Is that okay?"
"Yes." She nodded and smiled. "I will be there tomorrow around this time."
"See you." I called after her retreating figure and she raised her hand to wave goodbye to me as soon as she got herself in the truck's passenger seat.
I spared the other guy another glance and he did the same. The guy, Jungkook, nodded towards me and then drove off. He wouldn't be a problem, right? Chaeyoung wouldn't tell anyone our plans. Besides, he didn't look like he cared about her.

Yoongi remained staring onto the harmful light of the computer's screen, the mouse on his right hand, fervently scrolling down with hopes of discovering a single hint that would help with the progress of the case. His lower back has been aching from sleeping on couches and cold floors but he knew better than to rest. He was only given this chance to prove that he can solve this case or else he'll be sent off to fucking god knows where. He has to catch this killer because it was not only his life that depended on this.
19 women were brutally murdered by the same unnamed killer but that wasn't the most surprising thing about this case. The killer didn't just murder his victims randomly. He chose them and he has strongly sent his message across every one of them. All of his victims had their genitalias disfigured in the most gruesome way that only a psychopath would be able to envision.
He rubbed his eyes hard in an attempt to prevent sleep from crawling into his mind. Yoongi stared intently at the huge board with the pictures of all the victims, their backgrounds, the locations where they were found and connected them to each one with a red thread, but even with this, he still cannot find the answer to his questions.
Why only women?
What could be his motive?
Who will be next?
author's note;
Hi guys!!
What do you think about this chapter?I'm sorry for slow updates but I'm new to this genre and I'm still trying to think about the characters roles and everything. I've never written a thriller/horror book before so I don't have much ideas. But I'm excited. 😁
