Don't breathe.A voice resonated from within her, telling her to be cautious because the man after her is a hunter and this hunter has never missed his prey. He is cunning and his instincts has never gone dull. She heard him calling her name and telling her to come back. His voice echoed through the trees and lingered in the air.
He told her to not be afraid but she was— frightened. She ran and ran, trying to lose him on her tail, but she couldn't outrun him so she thought it best to hide. She laid on the dirt and molded herself against a tree's crevice, gathering a pile of dried leaves to cover her body. Hoping. Desperately hoping that he wouldn't find her.
Don't breathe. She reminded herself again but it was no use. Her bones rattled as a chilling breeze passed.
She told herself over and over. If she breathes, it's over. With her eyes wide open, peeking through a small aperture, she saw him walking past him unsuspectingly and held her breath the longest she could. She took a gasp of air when he was out of her sight, but still practiced caution as she listened for the slightest movement around her. The trees rustled as the wind howled above. Every muscle in her body ached but she remained still, listening quietly like a real animal desperate to escape the hunter.
She moved an inch when she was sure he's gone. Something cold touched over her hand, she flinched then looked down, seeing maggots crawling over her fingers. She jerked her hand away. She was about to scream, but she managed to bite her lip to prevent herself from doing so.
However, the man already knew where she was even if she didn't make a sound. He thought it would be fun to play along with his prey. She had absolutely no idea how good he was at playing hide and seek. He came up from behind her and grabbed her thin figure.
She wrestled with him as he dragged him back to his hide away. Her shrill screams echoed throughout the forest but it was no use. No one will hear her. He was sure of that. She saw his eyes once again and his smile that showed his perfectly aligned teeth. So perfect that you wouldn't even have an inkling of suspicion that he was this kind of man. That was her gravest mistake. It's the perfection that makes him deadly.
"Don't be afraid." Jimin gently caressed her cheek when he has bound her wrists and feet. He smiled at her as she continued to shout for help. "Why do you still bother?"
He laughed at her efforts to be heard. "Let me ask you this then.. If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, would it still make a sound?"
The girl cried, once again helpless. Jimin grabbed the duct tape and plastered her lips sealed. "There, there.. It's not safe for you to go out there at this hour. I was just concerned. I don't want you to get lost in the woods, darling."

"We got a missing person case."
A stout-looking guy announced to each of the members of the Violent Crimes Unit-first division, where Yoongi and Hoseok are a part of.
"Is it related to our case?" Hoseok took a seat and checked the file, skimming through the report's details without noticing Yoongi looking over his shoulder. "17 year old, huh? Looks too young to be involved in our case— HOLY—!!"
Hoseok jumped the moment he turned his head and saw Yoongi's face next to his. "Holy what?"
"Nothing." Hoseok muttered, fixing his shirt. "But can you not do that please? At least make a sound to let people know you're there."
"Let's go check it out." Yoongi snatched the file from his partner before grabbing his coat.
"But she's not part of our case." Hoseok told Yoongi. "Our killer's target age group is around mid to late 20s. This kid probably just ran away after an argument with her parents."
