A light rainfall had started, and raindrops started to mix in with the tears running down Momo's cheeks. Her arms were wrapped around her torso, and she was trembling slightly as she sprinted down the road. The sound of Shouto's voice calling out her name slowly faded away, until it was nothing but a small whisper in the wind.

Momo sped up, trying to get home as soon as possible. She could barely see through the darkness, and dark clouds covered the moonlight up above. While she was running she tripped over a curb. Collapsing forward, her elbows skidded on the pavement, and her knees scraped against the ground. She let out a hiss of pain and pushed herself to her feet.

What have I done...? She thought hopelessly. A wave of defeat washed over Momo. She took a deep breath and clutched her chest, trying to ignore the feeling of blood dripping down her arms and legs.

Momo looked around silently. The rain had picked up, and her sleek back hair cling to her shoulders. She was hunched over in the rain, and the blood on her skin was quickly washed away. She didn't know where to go from there. Her house was too far away to walk, and she didn't know who to call. Her parents were either asleep or fighting, and she didn't want to give them a reason to be more upset.

Ochako. Momo thought suddenly. She pulled out her phone and tried to protect it from the rain while she dialed her best friend's number.

It took a few rings, and at first Momo was afraid her best friend was asleep, but a wave of relief crashed over her when she picked up.

"Momo? What happened?" Uraraka asked sleepily, obviously aware that something was wrong.

"I-I..." Momo tried to talk through her tears, her breath ragged and quick. "I messed up... I m-messed up bad,"

"Hold on, where are you?" Uraraka's voice was obviously concerned.

"I ran away," Momo cried. "I had to run. I-I need help, Ochako,"

"Hey, it's gonna be okay," she tried calming Momo down, struggling to keep her voice calm. "Just take a deep breath and tell me where you are. I can come get you,"

"T-thank you," Momo whispered, gripping the fabric of her shirt. She told Uraraka her location before being forced to hang up due to the low percentage of her phone. For a few minutes, she waited. It felt like hours, but it really gave Momo time to think.

Shouto, I'm so sorry... I care, I really do... she bit her too lip and shook her head, wiping her eyes. Rain still fell around her, and she felt a chill run up her spine. A few minutes later, the sound of a car approaching caught her attention, and she whipped around to see Uraraka and her parents in their car.

"Oh, thank God," Momo ran up to Ochako as soon as she stepped out of the car and flung her arms around her best friend.

"Are you okay? You're arms are hurt," Uraraka observed as she pulled away slowly.

"I-I'll explain later, I promise," Momo whispered, her voice breaking.

"Okay, my parents are gonna bring you home, okay? But we can talk on the way there," Uraraka explained. Momo nodded slowly and climbed into their old car, shivering from the wind.

After she closed the car door, Uraraka took a blanket that was on the seat of the car and threw it over Momo's shoulders. Momo murmured a thank you and took a deep breath, closing her eyes.

"Okay, tell me what happened." Uraraka urged softly.

"S-Shouto..." Momo started, blinking a few stray tears out of her eyes. "h-he told me that he has f-feelings for me... he wants to be more than friends..."

A look of confusing spread across Uraraka's face. "Momo, that's great, I don't-..."

"I ran away." Momo interrupted. She shook her head, her chest tightening with frustration. "I don't know why I ran away, I... I want to be more than friends, but I just..."

All of a sudden, Uraraka jumped as her phone began to ring. She took it out of her pocket and widened her eyes when she saw who was calling.

"Who is it?" Momo asked.

Uraraka didn't answer her, instead answered the call. "Hello?" She asked. After a few seconds, she took a deep breath. "Okay, Okay, calm down. Take a deep breath and repeat what you just said."

Momo furrowed her brow in confusion as a shadow of a smile spread across Uraraka's face. "Actually, I'm looking right at her. She's okay. You want proof?"

Momo's heartbeat picked up as Uraraka handed the phone to her. "Who is it?" She asked, panicking.

"You'll see." Uraraka smiled back.

Trying to stay calm, Momo held up the phone to her ear. "H-hello?" She whispered.

"Oh my God," to her dismay, Shouto's voice sounded relieved on the other end of the call. "I'm so glad you're okay, I'm so sorry," his voice cracked and it sounded like he had been crying.

"S-Shouto I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry," she mumbled. "I never should've... I wasn't thinking..."

"It's okay," Shouto let out a deep breath. "I just wanted to know that you were safe, I wanted to go after you, but I'm pretty sure I'm the last person you want to see right now,"

"Shouto, I-..." Momo shook her head. "That's not true, that's not true at all. "I just... I have to go. I'll see you at school, o-okay?" She sniffled.

"Yeah, okay." Todoroki murmured. Momo quietly hung up the phone and handed it shamefully to Uraraka.

"See?" Uraraka shrugged. "Momo, if you want to be more than friends, you have to take that leap yourself. Todoroki is offering you his hand, and you have to take it,"

Momo was staring down at her knees. "What if he ends up hating me?"

Uraraka rolled her eyes and rested her hand on Momo's shoulder. "You guys can get to know each other together. He won't hate you. He cares about you more than anybody, and I'd say that's pretty damn amazing."

Momo stayed silent for a few seconds. "How do I tell him?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"You just tell him. Find him in school, grab him by the hand, and tell him. Maybe finish it off with a kiss and a hug." Uraraka joked. "But you have to just tell him. You can't beat around the bush,"

"Thank you, Ochako." Momo smiled. "I don't know where I would be without you."

Uraraka smiled sweetly. "Just do me a favor and tell him as soon as possible, I can't keep waiting." She winked at Momo.

"I will." Momo felt her heart leap up in her chest. "I'll tell Shouto that I have feelings for him.
