Giada smirked as you walked through the garage to meet her. "Ok it's not so much a code red but you are bright red!" She laughed.
You leant in close to whisper in her ear. "Best kiss ever," you giggled.
"Cmon let's grab a seat so we can watch the action. I'll need details later!"

Q1 and 2 passed with little drama. And to be perfectly honest, you wouldn't have noticed either way. You were transfixed on the little red bullet cutting through the air. It wasn't until Q3 that you really started to pay attention. Your brother was lighting up the time screens, purple in every sector. For a second you felt bad. If you had been in the Mercedes garage right now you would have been jumping for joy. Instead you just lightly tapped the cross that never left your neck. The only person still on an out lap was Seb. Surely he couldn't be faster. But there he was. Sector 1- purple. Sector 2- purple. Sector 3 - PURPLE. The garage erupted and you joined in, carefully making sure you weren't edged toward the front of the garage where you'd be in view of the cameras. And Seb was celebrating, you could see on the screens.

You knew the drill, time for press, time for meetings. It never stopped. But then you saw on the live stream. It was Lewis storming back to the garage. Obviously not happy.
"Giada I've got to run," you said.

Taking the back entrance into the Mercedes compound, you sprinted through the corridors to make it into the lounge, just as Lewis emerged. The look on his face made you wonder if he had intact seen you at Ferrari.
"How did he beat me?" He growled, his race engineer a few paces behind. "We need a faster car for tomorrow!" Phew. False alarm.

You shot a text to Sebastian. "Change of plans. Meet me later."

Back at the hotel, you had dinner with Lewis, trying your hardest to bring his mood back up. The Lewis-Whisperer, they called you. Even now. Even when he was— "I'm not mad anymore," He looked up from his plate of food.
"Oh?"
"I know it was just a heat of the moment thing. I was talking to Minttu today."

Thank god for that woman, you thought.

"She said I wouldn't understand because I'm a man," he laughed. "But I'm not mad. Just please, I don't care if you're friends with Giada just don't stray to that side of the garage. He's bad news, I'm telling you now Y/N".

After dinner, you waited around for your phone to buzz.
