The New Normal

Mal P.O.V 

As I lay in my hospital room I think about all that has happened. From coming to auradon, to ben proposing, to my mom dying because of me. I sigh and lay back. I know that the Villian kids need a chance in Auradon but the villains can not stay they will destroy all the good. I am about to fall asleep when the doctor came in. "Lady Mal, you are being discharged as long as you promise to take it easy and stay in the Kings castle." I nod and I got out of the hospital bed in some pain but not to much. As soon as I do a nurse comes in and tells me to sit in the wheel chair. I sigh and sit because if I don't then ill have to stay here. She wheels me into the lobby where is see Hades. "hey dad," I said and gave him a hug. " hey kiddo ben was here but there was a meeting he had to attend." I nodded and the nurse told my dad everything I had to do which pretty much required me to stay in bed or in a wheel chair for at least 2 months. H agreed and we went out to the limo that would take me to the castle. I sigh as I sit next to hades. "hey kid you good." he asked. I nodded and just sat in silence. I don't want to talk about the elephant in the room, being my mothers death. I let a tear slip from my eye. I can't look weak not no. I am already so weak. we get to the castle and there was the whole Auradon and the Isle people there. I don not want them to see me like this. Hades gets put of the car first and shuts his side. I look at the driver and say "Drive now." he looked at me and my eyes started to glow. he drives away fast. I turn around and find Ben and Hades left in shock.  "Lady Mal where am I going." the driver asked.  "the enchanted lake," I say. the driver drove pretty fast. I know I shouldn't run but after my mothers death I can not face the people of Auradon who are probably rejoicing that Maleficent is dead. we get to enchanted lake and I ask the driver to stay in the car and I won't be awhile. 

I walk down to the place where ben and I had our first date. I smile thinking about the memory of him and I. The peace I had knowing I was safe in his arms. Nothing bad would happen to me. I am taken aback my the love I have for ben. I sit with my feet in the water and I feel the magic of the enchanted lake. I feel at peace. I feel secure and sure that I am where I am supposed to be. I sigh and lay down. 

Ben p.o.v. 

As soon as I finished talking with the people of Auradon I went to the hospital to see Mal. Hades had been there since the whole thing happened. When I got there I asked Hades to update me and he did and said Mal is in bad shape so he used his Ember on her to heal her but he couldn't heal her completely. Her heart would always morn for her mom and that is pain he couldn't take away. I nodded and then went to talk with the nurse and she said that Mal could leave the next morning. I had to get everyone together before Mal got out. I needed to come up with a plan to protect everyone. I met up with my mom and dad. "Mom, dad I need your help. How do I protect everyone, especially Mal," I questioned. "well son you ned to set ground rules, and you need to have all the villains in a controlled location like a castle with a barrier that people can get in but on certain people can get out. Make sure they have healthy living and a safe place to live." my dad said. I nodded that makes sense. 

The next morning

Mal was getting released today I wanted to be with her but I knew that Hades would take good care of her. I called everyone to the meeting in the center of Auradon High. 

"Good morning, the people of auradon and the people from the isle. The recent events of Maleficent has brought up problems within the world of Auradon. So with that being said the villains that repacked havoc before will be kept in a castle surrounded with a barrier to keep them in. However the children will be able to visit whenever. This will also act a prison if there are any issues it will be dealt with by the council. The villains will be taken within the next several minutes. The castle is located on the east side of Auradon and will be magic less however they will be better conditions than the Isle." I finished giving my speech as I saw a car pull up. It is Mal I smile and get down from my stand. Hades gets out of the car. I start to walk over to him then the car speeds away with Mal in it. I look at hades and he is in shock, "what happened." he said. "How did she seem in the car?'' I asked. "quiet, sad, all the emotions." hades said. I nodded I know exactly where she is. I thanked him and then left my dad to rally up all the villains and capture them into the castle. I get on my bike and drive to the only place Mal goes anymore. The enchanted lake. There I see Mal's driver standing outside his car. I walk up to him and he bows. "I am so sorry your majesty, Lady Mal asked me to bring her here and her eyes were glowing and I was scared, Im sorry," I nodded and told him to leave. he did and and I walked down to see Mal laying on the ground asleep.  I smile and then I go and sit next to Mal and I put her head on my lap she is so sleepy and I don't hesitated to pick her up and I carry her to my bike. "Mal sweetie wake up," she stirs in my arms and snuggles into me more. she opens her eyes and I see a soft gray that I love so much. "Hey, sweetie lets get you back to the castle and into bed." She nods and sit on the back of my bike holding on tight. 

Mal p.ov. 

I was asleep not even 5 minutes before ben came and swop me up to take me back to the castle I did not object because I was to tired. when we get back to the castle Ben took me in the back to our bedroom. Since we got engaged I moved into his room and we have been staying together. Since the summer had just started we will be starting our senior year soon and then we will get married yada yada. Once I hit our bed I was out like a light.
