Emilia's POV

After the scene in the janitors closet, I had officially missed 15 minutes of third period. Quite frankly, I didn't mind. It usually consisted of taking roll and listening sexual jokes be tossed around. So when I walked into third period, nobody really minded. People seemed to do that throughout the day so the teachers expected it to happen. However, the day passed by at a normal rate.

During lunch, Christopher took me to the courtyard where a picnic was laid out.

"Would you like to eat with me? "
I didnt know that he wanted to eat with me.

Typically, he ate with his friends so this was not only strange but unexpected.

"Sure, thanks."

The air was filled with the soft chirping of birds and low conversation between me and Christopher. All we talked about was school and how things were outside of school. Overall, the conversation was awkward. Christopher was acting weird as well. The irony was real here.

Christopher's POV

I left the janitors closet with a proud smile on my face. I had taken Emilia's first official kiss. There would be a lot of first in our relationship. I casually strolled into third period.

But when I walked in, all the girls stared at me. Typical. They all knew that I didn't want them, yet they still tried to pursue me. Key word being tried. After another two periods, it was finally lunch time.

I had prepared a picnic consisting of finger foods and drinks. I got to school early on and set everything up. I had finished setting up when the kissing scene happened. Good times. I had asked my girl to the picnic after I spotted her walking from her class.

The lunch period picnic was filled with awkwardness. Partially because I made it awkward, I have my reasons.

I was going to ask Emilia on a date. Trust me, that seemed like an easy task, but when you're asking the girl you want and have loved since you have seen her, it's  challenging.

"Hey, Emilia, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me?"

It felt like a millennium before she answered.

"Of course, I would love to go on a date with you, Christopher."

"Really, you mean it?"

"Yes, Chris. What time should I be ready and what should I wear?"

"Be ready by 7 and wear something casual. You could even wear what you're wearing now. Its still perfect."

"Okay, well the bell is about to ring, I think that we should start heading back."

"Can I hold your hand today?"

Instead of replying, she did it for me. Her small, petite hand overwhelmed by my enlarged hand.
As soon as the period ended, the grin plastered on my face never left.

After school

Emilia's POV

School seemed to fly by after lunch. I quickly departed from school and headed home for my first ever date. I pulled out one of the dresses I had owned. I had put makeup on and I hate to brag but it looked cute.

It was nearing 7 o'clock and my insecurities started to kick in. I kept thinking that Christopher was only with me because of a bet or dare. And if I'm being honest, that hurt a little. I quickly got over it as the doorbell rang. Time for my first date, hopefully it won't be my last.
