Calum

I opened my eyes and looked at my phone. I scrolled through all of my birthday messages and smiled at the text from my best friend.

Cal: Happy 18th, you loser ;) am picking you up at 10.

I smiled and checked the time. 9:55. I sighed as I stood up and replaced my pyjamas with a flannel shirt and shorts. I looked at myself in the mirror before I realised. I would have gotten my soulmate marking now. I looked down at the inside of my left wrist to see a dove with its wings outstretched slightly.

"Nice." I nodded as I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs. I ran out of the front door as Calum pulled up in his car.

"Happy birthday, weirdo." He smiled as I climbed in.

"Thanks, loser." I chuckled.

"So, what's your tat?" he asked.

"You mean my marking?" I smiled.

"Same difference." He shrugged.

"Not really-."

"What is it?" he pushed. I sighed as I rolled up my sleeve and looked at it.

"I think it's a dove, but I'm not sure." I spoke. Calum's eyes widened.

"With its wings outstretched?" he gulped. I looked at him.

"Yeah-how did you know?" I asked. Suddenly, he leant across and grabbed my wrist.

"Ow, Jesus, Calum." I scoffed as he studied it. He looked back at me.

"What is it?" I asked. He pulled his sleeve up and showed me his left wrist. My eyes widened as I saw it. His marking was also a dove with its wings outstretched.

"We're soulmates." He smiled before leaning forward and pressing our lips together. I was taken back at first but then quickly sunk into the kiss. I broke it and just looked at him.

"What? We were literally made for each other." He chuckled. I returned it before kissing him again.

Luke

I opened my front door and smiled as Luke stood there.

"Hey, you ready to work on the project?" he asked.

"Urgh." I groaned. He chuckled before walking in.

"Let's go up to my room." I spoke, heading for the stairs.

"Sure." He nodded. We walked in and he looked around.

"Nice room." He smiled.

"Thanks." I returned it as I sat on my bed. I scratched at my collarbone.

"Let's start with chemistry." Luke spoke as he sat down opposite me.

"Okay." I nodded. Suddenly, I felt heat rush through my mark as I hissed at the feeling. Luke looked at me.

"You okay?" he asked, looking at me with concerned eyes.

"Um, yeah, my mark is just getting...irritated." I mumbled as I scratched it.

"You know that it does that when you're near your soulmate, right?" he spoke.

"Yeah, it does it all the time, no big deal." I shrugged.

"Okay." He nodded before looking back at the worksheet. I hissed again.

"You want me to take a look at it?" he asked, looking back at me.

"No, you don't have to-."

"Y/N, it's causing you pain, if there's something I can do to help, I want to do it." He reassured. I gave him a small smile and nodded. He returned it before moving closer to me. I gulped as I slid my top and bra strap off of my shoulder to reveal my mark spread across my left collarbone. Luke gently placed his hand against it.

"It does feel quite hot, maybe it's just-." He stopped as he read the words.

"Tomorrow never dies, that's your mark?" he asked, looking at me.

"Yeah, why?" I shrugged. He gulped before pulling his shirt down slightly to reveal the same words laying against his left collarbone. I gasped.

"We're soulmates." I whispered.
