San walks into the library, a special dog in hand. He waves to Wooyoung who was just about to leave and sets his stuff down on the counter.
"You brought Shiber with you today?" He asks.
"Yup, like when we were younger..." San replies in a sentimental tone while looking down and the toy dog.
"You used to bring him absolutely everywhere, and if you couldn't, you would have the biggest tantrum known to mankind," the purple haired boy jokes, slinging his backpack strap over his shoulder. "Well, I gotta go! See ya San!" he waves goodbye and leaves.
"Bye!" San says back.
He takes a seat behind the wooden desk, pulling out his book and grabbing Shiber to rest his head on. He is instantly pulled into the story, everything going quiet as he focuses on the story. Everything vividly plays out before him almost as if it was all a play.
The scenes in which the characters fall more in love makes the boy daydream about when he would fall in love. When would he ever hold someone with so much love? Would he ever be able to have his own storybook love story? Would he ever feel what love feels like? San could only imagine.
Just thinking about it brought a fluttery and fluffy feeling to San, almost as if he was filled with cotton candy and butterflies, but the good kind of course. He imagines it to be like everything around you going out of focus when you're around that person like a camera focusing on one thing; or like a movie in which every scene and person is perfect, perfect for each other. That's what San imagines it to be like.
Whilst daydreaming, San doesn't notice someone calling out to him. A small tap on his shoulder brings him out of his own romance and back to reality unfortunately.
"Huh? I'm sorry, yes?" San spits out, slightly startled by the disturbance. He quickly shifts his head around to look at the source of the tap.
He spins his head around to find himself face to face with a smiley and soft Yeosang.
Butterflies start to circle his stomach and his cheeks grow red as he notices exactly who was calling for him. He swears he felt the world slow down for a moment.
San stares at the boy for just a second, taking in his beauty. He notices how his brown hair is perfectly messy and fluffy and how his eyes shined like the stars in the sky even though it wasn't nighttime; his adorable ass smile accompanied with his round cheeks whenever he did so; his long, brown trench coat and striped sweater swallowing his small figure; everything seemed perfect to San.
"San? You there? I've been calling for you for like a minute," Yeosang breaks his trance once again.
shit.
"Umm sorry for that... I had... a uhh... tiring day..." San lies on the spot.
"Oh no! It's fine! Everyone has those days," Yeosang reassures him, his soft tone enveloping San like a fluffy blanket.
Even his voice is perfect...
"I just wanted to tell you that you dropped your dog," says Yeosang as he hands Shiber back to San.
"Oh! Thank you! It must've fallen while I was reading," San takes the dog and places him back to where he was before.
"I really like it, it's cute!" Yeosang grabs the toy again and squishes it. He begins to pet the toy endearingly. "I want a dog like thissss," he adds. He continues to snuggle Shiber, San only getting softer and softer as he watches the boy.
cute.
"Oh, um... I'm sorry for that! You can have it back!" Yeosang stops and quickly hands back Shiber.
"I don't mind, it was cute anyways," San didn't catch himself saying the last part until Yeosang's face blushes a bit and hands race to cover his face. Hands go up to cover San's mouth at the same time. The same red color creeps up San's face as well.
"Shoot! I'm um sorry for that!" he quickly blurts our.
"Oh no! It's fine!" Yeosang reassures San once again. Little sweater paws reach out in front of him and wave. "It's completely fine," he chuckles at the boy and smiles. San smiles too.
there it is...
"I almost forgot!" Yeosang begins to look through his canvas tote bag filled with presumably pencil cases based on the noises coming from it. One of the handles on the bag was already ripped from wear and tear and several seams started coming off giving the bag a sort of uniqueness to it. It was clear that the bag was used for a pretty long time.
"Are you gonna get a new bag?" San asks.
"Haha," they boy chuckles again. "I don't think I will any time soon. Only until this thing for some reason disappears or burn to ashes, then will I get a new one. It was actually a gift from my mom as well as all the memories affiliated with it,"
He looks at the worn out bag and stares lovingly at the acrylic painting in the front of it. It was of a beautiful aurora against a deep blue night sky. The greens and blues of the aurora danced around the painting, the stars complimenting it beautifully.
Some parts started cracking, but it didn't the painting any less beautiful.
"I really like the painting."
"Thank you, my mom will appreciate the compliment," Yeosang sticks out a book in San's direction and looks at the painting on his bag again. He smiles sentimentally as he looks back at San.
San swiftly checks out the book and hands it back to Yeosang. He swears he saw a glint of sorrow in his eyes.
What was that...?
A loud noise distracts his train of thought.
"Oh!" San notices Yeosang's surprise and looks over the desk. The boy's final strap on his bag finally gave out and created a mess worthy of Picasso all over the floor.
"I'm so sorry!" Yeosang apologizes profusely at San. His face was as red as it was before.
"Oh no! It's fine!" He rushes over to the other side and helps him gather his things up.
The two finally clean up the mess, Yeosang already getting ready to leave after creating such a ruckus.
"Thank you so much for helping me with that. I hope I didn't create too much trouble,"
"You didn't, trust me,"
"Well, I gotta go now! Bye!" Yeosang hurries out with his now broken bag in his arms.
San was going to head back to his seat when he's something peculiar on the floor. It looked like it was ripped right out of a book, rips decorating its edges. It seemed to have something scribbled on it as well.
He grabs the paper, examining it. The paper was textured and thick between his fingers. A soft, off white color tainted it.
Probably from his sketchbook
He finally looks at the paper. On it was a drawing of Shiber.
Black pen lines outlined its body and color filled the spaces. The pen lines weren't entirely perfect, giving it a sort of natural look, but it looked perfect in San's eyes. He spent a few more moments examining the drawing before turning it around.
On the other side was number and 'text me?' written on it.
The number didn't have a name with it, but he had a feeling he knew whose it is.
He felt a smile grow on his face.
He stuffs the paper into his pocket and looks back at the table, a particular pen sticking out from all the rest in his pencil holder.
Yeosang...
