"it's," i bite back the word i want to say. it's disappointing to say the least. there are only two bedrooms, a kitchen, one bathroom, and a dull impersonation of a living room. there is a major shortage of color.

"it's nice." i lie.

harin looks at me and smiles.

"yup, it's something."

nora nods, actually happy. her love for simple things has never been an appeal i reciprocated. i much prefer elegant and expensive things. i guess to each their own.

"oh come on, it's not that bad! we can just buy the decorations ourselves." rae suggests. her helpless need to be a mom can get annoying but i love her nonetheless.

"that's not the problem. it's tiny! and theres only one bathroom when we're four people." harin complains. she's right.

"well," rae roams her brain, trying to come up with something positive to say about the size of the house. "yeah, it sucks."

"i like it." nora pops in joyfully and drags a suitcase to one of the bedrooms. "harin, come on!"

harin looks at rae and i for help from the hyper girl shouting her name. but rae and i just wave at her mockingly and she drags her suitcase after nora while we let out small giggles.

"let's go unpack, then." rae says what im thinking and i start moving towards my new bedroom. knowing that tomorrow, we will start recording our debut song, i grin.

my eyes glance over to the small clock hanging on the wall.

19:36.

already?

i reluctantly stand up, knowing it means more work tomorrow but i physically cannot push back my hunger anymore. i look at rae on her bed and to my surprise, her eyes are closed, her breaths steady and quiet. huffing, i exit the room, looking for another one of the girls.

when i enter the kitchen, the floorboards groan in discomfort, scaring nora half to death. her head spings up and collides with the top of the fridge.

"ouch!" she exclaims while i chuckle.

"okay stop laughing i'm in pain." she says rather seriously but of course, i do not stop laughing and instead, laugh some more. she locks eyes with me for a few seconds before bursting into laughter herself.

"shhh rae's asleep." i inform her and she covers her mouth and walks over to the cupboards.

"what's there to eat? i'm starving." i complain and she looks at me, pouting.

"nothing. i guess we were supposed to eat at a cafe today or something."

"well we can still do that, it's only seven." i suggest. when she nods, i sneak quietly back into my room, so as not to wake rae up, but my efforts are deemed futile when my phone dings rather loudly. i freeze, as if that would keep rae from waking up, and hold my breath. but she doesn't seem fazed, so i let it go and grab the jacket i came in here for.

"let's go?" i ask nora.

"let's go."
