𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘴

i hate being alone. i hate it. the only time in my life where i truly felt alone was upon coming back to south korea. my korean was fine but compared to people on the streets, it was rough. i pretty much only knew honorific korean, formal, polite, but people around me joked around and i couldn't express myself. but nora made it much easier. we were both in the company at around the same time, and nora said that if i could teach her some thai, she would help improve my korean. she has a love for languages and was eager to learn another one, and i was desperate to improve my skills. 

so i wake up, and i expect to find nora and quiz her about the thai i taught her earlier this week. but she isn't here. no one is in the house.

i look through my contacts, finding rae's number first and pressing the dial button. she picks up after a few beeps and sounds frustrated.

'hey, where are you?' 

'i went to the grocery store to buy some things for dinner, im like right outside.'

'ah okay, see you in a little bit.'

'bye.'

heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth, i play the demo of our debut song, imagining our debut stage and suddenly getting nervous. since i'm done, i decide to just sit on the floor and go through my phone as i hear the door click open.

'hi.' rae's voice is quiet.

'hey, what's up?'

'oh, nothing. i dropped the eggs so we can't have eggs anymore, i guess.' she says with a dull voice.

'you seem super bummed about it, don't worry.' i try to console.

'yeah, i guess.' she says and i frown.

i sit in silence for a few minutes as i hear her boiling water on the stove. it's unbearable. 

i better go help her, i think and do just that.

'how can i help?' i ask while giving her a back hug.

'you can fry the pork in a pan.' she smiles.

'so... tomorrow's a big day, right?' i ask, trying to make conversation.

'oh my god, yes!' she lets out a small laugh, 'i am so so nervous but so so excited.'

'i think i'm gonna cry the second we step foot into the studio.' i say with a chuckle.

'hey, where are ara and n-' i'm cut off by the sound of the door clicking once again. 

perfect timing.

'hey guys!' nora greets cheerfully, 'you have no idea what just happened to us!'

'what?' rae and i ask in unison.

'okay so, basical-', 

'yes, basically,' ara cuts nora off, who knows she can't complain because ara is older, and instead pouts.

'so we were just having coffee, right? but what do you know lee know and han from stray goddamn kids walk into the cafe we're at! crazy, right? okay but then it gets better cause nora embarrasses herself like always and accidentally bumps heads with han and then i act super normally and yes that's it.'

'what!? no way!' i exclaim. 

'i swear!' 

'harin! you let the bacon burn!' rae scolds and i immediately run over to the pan, where the black bacon lies.

'oh, i'm so sorry!' 

'it's fine, whatever,' she seems annoyed and disappointed but i decide to give her some space.

'nora can you come look over everything? i need something from my room.'

'yeah, sure.' she responds and walks to the kitchen, while rae makes her way to ara and takes her to their room, asking if they can talk.
