_____________Chapter 5
"ABSOLUTELY NOT", Amelia said with no room for discussion. Theo and I were trying to convince her to go to the after party with us. Well, more me trying to convince her than Theo, but he played devil's advocate pretty well.
"Stop being such a stick in the mud Monroe. It's just a little partying before bed time", Theo teased.
"Do you even sleep, Theo?", one of Amelia's two friends said with her arms crossed. I think her name was Lacy.
"I don't know, come with yours truly and you'll find out", Theo responded with a wink causing Lacy to smirk back at him.
Theo never seemed to turn down his charm around any girl that takes notice of him. It was a part of his nature, the bit of him which made him seem like a fox in sheep's clothing.
"Gross, Theodore. Lacy, I thought you knew better than to get near red snakes", Amelia said pointedly at Theo more than at Lacy. Her two friends laughed a little bit, and I could tell that Theo was getting a little riled.
"Hey. I am offended that you would think so lowly of me"
"Really? I would think you were honoured", Amelia said with heavy sarcasm laced in her voice.
Even though these two were my most favorite people in this world, and were friends with each other too, I think they would tear each other part if they could.
They were like thunder clouds and lighting in a hurricane. One being a loud boom and another being an electrified crack in the sky.
"Settle down you two", I interrupted. "Theo, please tone down the... antics"
Theo crossed his arms, huffed, and silently agreed.
"And Amelia, will you please come with us. I promise we won't be there for long, just a little over an hour couldn't hurt, right?", I questioned.
I didn't want to pressure her, but I didn't want to leave somewhere and have fun without her. Fun without Amelia sounded... unreal, boring, and useless to me.
"Okay. But I won't be there for long, got it?"
I smiled triumphantly.
"Do you want to come too Bree? Lacy?", she asked the blonde and brunette at her two sides.
"I know I'm down for a little bit of fun", Lacy said suggestively toward Theo.
"Actually, I think I'll pass. My parents want to pick me up and they aren't too far behind. Next time though", the brunette, Bree said with mild disappointment.
"Well, alrighty then, bye Bree, it was great to meet you", Theo threw his arms around me and Amelia. "Ladies, gentleman, let's be on our way 'cause we have a party to get to", Theo said with newfound excitememt.

The music was loud, the drinks were cheap, and the house was full of sweaty teens.
A perfect high school party.
Theo had disappeared as soon as we arrived, and surprise surprise, Lacy is gone too. This left me alone with Amelia who seemed to fit well into the crowd after the first few minutes.
"Here", she handed me a red solo cup along with a laugh. Funny enough, although she won't voluntarily come to these things, she sure finds ways to have fun.
