It's the last night on the cruise ship. I haven't talked to Lyric in sjnce last night, but she just seems a little...off.

This morning I walked into the bathroom and she was in there brushing her teeth. She turned to look at me and she said my name. I looked at her thru the mirror and she was looking at me. I couldn't help but look at her real face. She tightened out her lips and her dimples started showing. I took a slight step towards her and then I looked up and turned around and left.

Now we're sitting across from each other at the table. And I can't help but feel so much anger towards her and my mom.

"Hey honey are you okay?" Lyric's mom ask her and she nods rubbing her arm. She hasn't talked in a while. I need to stop worrying about her. 
After breakfast was over I watched as everybody stood up except me and Lyric. I just stared at her. Her face was so lonely and her spirit looked so broken. Everyone walked away.

"What."

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"So what you care now?" She asked not looking at me and I didn't know what to say. I always cared. She rolled her eyes and stood up leaving. I felt bad. How does my mood keep switching.

LYRIC P.O.V
Nights falling. The sunset is so beautiful it hurts. It was so cold out.  I pulled my blanket around my tighter as I stared at all the beautiful colors against the sky against the water. I wish I could feel this happiness forever. Then I heard him walking behind me. And I know it was him because he didn't talk and his footsteps sounded familiar.

"Isn't beautiful ?"

"Lyr." I felt his hands on my shoulders and he turned me towards him. I tried not to look at him I tried my hardest but when his gentle finger came across my cheek and pulled my face up I was forced too. Just like with James but this time. It was the sunshine feeling. "I'm sorry. About what I said. That's not how I think of you at all"

"It's fine we were drunk and angry." I said trynna look away from him but he gripped my face and I looked right back at him.

"No it's not." I look him in his eyes. His warm eyes. I see the sunset bouncing off his beautiful skin and his beautiful eyes. This is where I felt safe. Not pretending around my mom and James. Not walking around and having James try to touch me and not wanting to talk about it with my mom. Not even Elena. 

"Lyric I -" I hugged him I wrapped my arms around his stomach. I Barried my face in his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and rubbed his fingers through my hair. "It's okay." I nod like his words really make everything okay. I pulled back looking at the sunset then I looked back at Lucas who was already looking at me. He was moving a stray hair from my pony tail to put it behind my ear.

"You're so beautiful." He said and I frowned a little looking at him. I think he surprised hisself by the looks of his face.

"I-I um." I say moving loose hair off my forehead. "I don't know what to say you know we're not really supposed to be together like this. You have a girlfriend I know you don't really like me like that you're just sorry for what you said yesta-"

"Shut up." He says and both his hands cup my face and then he starts to lean towards me. I grab his hands and lean up till our lips meet and I feel it. The sunshine. "Gotta pee." I said and he nodded and I went to the bathroom. By time I waited for all the bug to come out and I peed i washed my hands and laid back down with Lucas. And in a matter of seconds we were already sleep.
