A/N: so, this is a poem I did to hold y'all over while I work on a longer piece :D (Dedicated to @mynicknameiskitkat because their comments make me grin like an idiot and also because they said that they liked angsty things.) Hope you enjoy this little mini thingy I did!

Once upon a time, a story was told

Of a being so wise and ever so old

A path through the stars and creation they'd fly

And paint constellations all through the sky

Skipping through time like stepping stones

They traveled often, but never alone

Once upon a time, there was someone near

Someone with wonders to see and to hear

And then as years died, there was a goodbye

Then there was no one who stood by their side

A wall divided, never to break

They were then lonely, left only with ache

Where had time gone, they desperately wondered

Why had you and they been but sundered?

Why is it when they look around,

From you they are met without a sound

Perhaps, they decide it was a true goodbye

And away to the stars but lonely, they'll fly

They'll try not to think of the bell that had chimed

As if it's not enough proof, that thing called time.
