All I Ever Needed

It seems that every single day, I wake up in a new location, confused of my surroundings.

I open my eyes.

I see Emma to my side- asleep, hurt.

We are in her car, except one thing is wrong.

The car is flipped on its side.

All of the windows are shattered.

It's so dark outside.

Everything's starts connecting, we crashed.

But, was all of that a nightmare? Emma sabotaging me?

Reality starts filling me up as I hear sobs coming from outside of the car.

Who is that?

I slightly move and screech.

"Shit!" I pout.

My body is covered in shards of glass, reminding me of my nightmare.

"Perry?" someone sobs out.

Kian.

"Kian?" I whisper.

I would turn my body, but I can't manage to without hurting my body anymore.

My hands are dripping with blood, and so are the other parts of my body.

I feel arms wrap around me and pull me out of the window.

I find my self in Kian's arms, once again.

I never bought I was going to be in this position again, but then again, it's not like I can move.

Kian's eyes are bloodshot, tears still spilling from his eyes.

"No no no. I can't believe this. This can't be happening. I let this happen to you. I'm so sorry."

I'm still trying to figure out if this is a dream or real life.

Kian takes his shirt off and wraps it around a huge gash on my forearm.

I look over to Emma's car.

It looks like a scene out of a movie.

I can't believe this real.

I make eye contact with Kian.

"What happened?" I barely say.

It's quiet out here, wherever we are.

I see Kian's car behind us too.

"You guys crashed. I was following you guys in my car. Emma drove you out here, now there is no one around to help."

"I-Is she okay?"

We sit in silence.

"Answer me!" I sit up and scream.

It hurts to move, but I sit up anyways.

"No, she's not," he whispers.

"Kian. You aren't funny! Do you see me laughing?"

"When you were still knocked out, I climbed in the back and checked Emma. She wasn't breathing. She had no pulse, her heart wasn't beating," Kian sobs.

I look up at the sky.

I close my eyes.

My body loses all emotion.

I just inhale.

This can't be happening. I know this is a dream. I know Kian is just lying. I know that tomorrow Emma and I will be happy and go to the beach and be like we always do. I know that none of this is real.

"Perry? Please. Please. Please say something," Kian shakes me.

I start hysterically crying.

I can't breathe I'm crying so hard.

Why does my life have to be the way it is?

Why me?

What did I ever do to deserve this all?

I fall back.

My body cannot handle my sobs, my heavy breathing, my tears.

I've never felt so empty inside.

I've lost everything in my life.

Emma was all I ever had.

All I ever needed.

The only one who was by my side always, who guided me through everything.

The one who never gave up on me.

The one who I shared all of my secrets with.

The one I laughed the hardest with.

The one I loved more than anyone.

The one who actually cared for me.

The one who made me smile at my worst times.

The one who knew me more than I knew myself.

The one who told me all of her secrets.

The one I could be myself with.

The one who gave me hope, hope that maybe the world isn't so cruel.

All gone.
