"I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO INSULTED!" The princess shouted.

"Princess Kagami?" Sultan Gabriel asked, "You're not leaving so soon, are you?"

He was a rather tall man, with white hair, thin body build and he had a face that looked as if there was no emotion at all. He wore a purple suit with black shoulder pads, greyish turban and mask, black gloves and he wore a butterfly shaped brooch. He wore the mask as a symbol of royalty. It was said that the Sultans of Agrabah wear a mask to shield their royalty from their subjects that came to see them.

"That prince of yours!" Princess Kagami shouted again, storming out of the castle.

"Now, I'm sure there must've been a misunderstanding," the Sultan said trying to calm Kagami down.

"Good luck marrying him off!" Sultan Gabriel finally saw why she was so upset. Princess Kagami's dress had a large tear in it, which made a hole that made her underwear show. Of course she'll be upset, that dress must've cost a fortune! Princess Kagami slammed the doors on her way out.

Sultan Gabriel sighed in defeat. "Adrien!" He said angrily.

The Sultan walked to the back of the castle heading towards the palace gardens.
"Adrien! Adrien!" He called. "Adri-" he was interrupted by the growling of Prince Adrien's black panther, Plagg. He was pitch black with electric green eyes and he had a piece of Princess Kagami's dress in his mouth.
"Confound it, Plagg!" The Sultan shouted as he tried to pull the piece of fabric out of Plagg's mouth. The piece tore leaving Plagg with one half and Sultan Gabriel with the other half.
"So this is why Princess Kagami stormed out!" Sultan Gabriel exclaimed at Prince Adrien.

"I am so sorry, your Highness," Prince Adrien's servant, Nino, apologized while he bowed. Nino had dark skin, brown eyes, short, dark hair and he wore glasses, a blue shirt and pants and red cap. He wasn't exactly in the best shape, but he wasn't fat either. "I really tried to stop him, but his majesty did not listen to reason."

"Enough!" Sultan Gabriel said. "Do you know how much this fabric is worth?" He asked Prince Adrien.

"Oh, Father," Adrien said smiling, "Plagg was just playing, and Nino really did try to stop him so please don't blame him," Prince Adrien wore a black suit with gloves and dark silver shoes and he wore a black mask which brought out his green eyes and made his perfect blonde hair look lighter. Adrien turned to Plagg, "Right Plagg? You were just playing with that overdressed, self-absorbed Princess Kagami, weren't you?" The Sultan signalled that Nino should leave and he did so. Sultan Gabriel went to talk to his son alone.

Prince Adrien and his dad were alone in the garden and his dad spoke, "Adrien, you can't keep turning down every princess that walks into our kingdom, the law says that you…"

"… must be married to a princess." Adrien finished and they both walked over to the dove cage.

"By your next birthday," Gabriel really finished.

Adrien turned to his father, "The law is wrong!"

"You only have three days!" the Sultan said ignoring what his son said.

"Father, I hate being forced into this." Adrien took out a dove from the cage and played with it.
"Mother always said that I should marry for love."

"Unfortunately, your mother isn't here." Queen Emilie died from a strange sickness one year prior.
Adrien went to sit down at the fountain after his father put the dove back into the cage. Plagg came to comfort the prince. It wasn't easy losing his mother, and it wasn't easy for his father either. Gabriel sighed and tried a calmer approach.
"Adrien, I understand that you miss your mother, I do too. It's not just this law, the truth is I won't be here forever. I want to make sure you won't be alone."
