"Momma." Her child whispered softly in her bust. Tears streamed down the child's face and June could hardly contain herself from crying as well.
"Why does daddy... why is he so cruel to you... to us? Why can't we just have a normal life like everyone else." As each word flew out the child's mouth, more hot tears came out faster than before.
She didn't say anything, only stroking the child's head. She couldn't give her child an answer because even she didn't know why they couldn't live like a normal family.
"My sweet honeycomb. Momma is sorry for making you feel miserable. It's all my fault." She says, stroking the black follicles on the child's head, quickly trying to put him to sleep before her husband got home.
"Can you sleep for momma?" Her child nodded, gripping her sleeve and wiping away his tears. He's slowly walking away to the shared bedroom with his other siblings.
He glances back at his mother, he didn't know how she feel in love with a man so cruel to her, he just couldn't understand.
