I Wanna Be Alone

BETTY POV

I sat in my room and just did my homework. Polly and Mom were preparing dinner and Jughead was doing whatever. I really didn't care about him. But I love Polly so I will tolerate him.

"Hey, can I come in?" Jughead asked on the other side of the door. I sighed.

"Yes." I rolled my eyes. He walked into my room and closed the door. He sat on my window seat and I looked at him. He examined the room and I walked over to sit next to him. It was better if we were closer anyways.

"Polly and your mom are leaving town for a week tomorrow. They said that you and I are gonna be here all by ourselves. I just wanted to let you know before you totally freaked out." Jughead shrugged. There was no way they were leaving me with this psychopath. He's crazier than a serial killer on bath salts.

"Why are they going?" I asked.

"They just said that they wanted girl time. They said it would be a good way for us to bond because we don't like each other. Why don't you like me? What did I do to make you hate me so much?" He asked me. I thought for a second and I couldn't think of an answer. He's good to my mom and Polly. He maybe cocky but he's carrying.

"I don't know. I guess it's because you changed Polly. It good and bad ways. I wasn't ready for Polly to mature yet and you taught her to mature. I hated you for that. You're the type of guy that's all over his girlfriend in public and I've never had that before. It's hard for someone like me to open up."

"People like you?" He questioned.

"Jughead, there are just some things you don't wanna know about people. You don't wanna know anything about it so don't touch try and get to know that part of me. When they go away, I'll make sure to not fight with you. Polly is the happiest she's been in a long time and you made her that way. I'm eternally thankful you did that for her." I said. Jughead gave a weak smile and pat me on my back. He got up and left my room. What was I gonna do?
